Fallon's Initiation (EVENT)

You find yourself in a line along with the cowled forms of your fellow clan members. Though the Ritual is very much the same from city to city there is a member of the Order of the Rose at the head of the hallway to answer any questions someone might have and to quietly explain to those that have never been to a Ritual, save their own, what is expected of them as an established member.

- Before the Ritual begins everyone is given a hooded black robe to wear symbolizing the equality of all Anantya. Once you have reached the entrance to the chamber you will find it guarded by the Order of the Hunt. You must pull back your hood to show yourself to the guardian before you are allowed to enter. Once you've been granted access please pull your hood back up. -

Mai stands in the doorway to the Initiation Chamber. Her expression is uncharacteristically stern as she lifts her white eyes to challenge the first in line requesting entrance into the room. The plain black robe seems to swallow the small elder in its folds but she remains fierce and watchful.

The figure in front of her pulls back their robe and reveals their face. Mai nods once and raises the thick crystal phial that she has been holding. Tilting its blood red contents onto her thumb, she then presses this to the person's forehead. Once she has marked the entrant, Mai quietly speaks.

"You are Anantya and you are welcome."Â?

She then moves aside to allow them to pass into the room before standing in front of the next person in line.

Everyone will file around in the room clockwise until the group forms a full circle.

NOTE: For the purpose of your entrance you may assume that Mai greets you and allows you to pass.

Unspeakable 17 years ago
The Unspeakable walked slowly down the stairs, down and down and down to where only her brethren had any business, finding the idea that most sought the way up to be mildly amusing. In her mind, -down- was home. She did, however, find herself looking up into the blackness for a brief moment, remembering the stars.

As you proceed down the hallway, you may notice the smooth black relief columns at regular intervals to either side of you, rising up to the impressively high ceiling. The walls here are very smooth granite and cold to the touch.

Ahead, in the distance, another archway begins to take shape before your eyes; another chamber, perhaps? No, your senses tell you otherwise; this archway almost certainly leads you out of doors. Slowly more shapes coalesce before your eyes; the outline of a tree, the curve of a wall in the distance. At last you pass under the archway and find yourself in an open courtyard, the stars above your head, surrounded by trees with fragrant white flowers. Petals drift in a steady pace to the ground, giving the illusion of snow. The lawn is well manicured with a red brick path cutting through the middle.

Directly across from you, you see a pair of doors leading into the Manor.

You are home.

Fallon 17 years ago
The change in the tunnel construction wasn't lost on Fallon, nor was it of great importance, other than the hope that it might signify the end of her trek. Her heartbeat sped up, as she let her hopes rise, and quickened her step simultaneously.

What was of importance was the archway she was approaching, and the fact that it seemed to be...shifting...appearing...movement was definitely there, but Fallon couldn't be sure exactly what was happening until she got closer. As she neared she almost cried out in relief at the sight of trees!

Slowing her gait slightly, Fallon wanted to be sure this wasn't an illusion before she dashed ahead. If she really was leaving the catacombs now, then she had found a route different from the one she entered. It didn't matter. What mattered was she had completed the task, and could now feel she was a true Anantya.

And...she could now find Cyrus and celebrate!

Sure enough, once she walked through the arch, she did find herself in a garden somewhere. She again hoped it was on the estate grounds, though couldn't see why it would be anywhere else.

Breathing in the fresh, fragrant air, Fallon's heart swelled, and she started running. Never before had she been so excited about being outside, and that excitement burst from her in a rush of feelings. She had a home, she had friends, she had family, and, most of all, she had love.

Not thinking to knock, Fallon saw the manor doors, and ran to them as fast as she could. Pushing through, she bounded into the entry and then stopped.

"Hello? I've made it!"

(Fallon out - and thank you so much! The ride was fabulous!!!)
