Board changes - Post with issues or questions

You'll have no doubt noticed that SA.COM has kinda new, kinda not the same look. We have successfully made the transition to VBulletin, thanks to Vex our TAC Admin and SA Technical Admin.

Everything should be as it was before, but if you used the ACCOUNT SWITCH, you'll have to reset you PID's again. Thankfully Vex wrote a much easier script just for that purpose. Log into your character, set your PID (make sure it matches your other characters) and viola...that's it.

If you are not seeing the old posts, make sure your USERCP/OPTIONS Display is set to 'beginning'.

If you cannot get your avatar to work or signature, that's probably because I didn't set it yet. It's late and I'm sick. =(

Everyone should be in the SA Member usergroup. New registered users without their bio's approved can still only post in Downtown Traffic and City Gates. So if you have a problem, you should be able to post them here. If not, find one of us on IM's or post on on the TAC board. www.theangrycrayon.com/forum

No posts should be lost and you'll notice that we rearranged a little with the subforum ability. Hopefully making it a little easier to navigate and unnecessary to scroll so far down. Any questions, suggestions, thoughts or problems, feel free to post. Thank you.

Editing a thread title? (I apologise if this has already been done) I went to edit a post to change to lock and it only opens to edit the text of the post, but not the title.

When you click on edit, you should see another button marked 'advanced edit' right under the text. if you click on that, you'll get the option to change the title

Is there a place where I can turn off the "Automatically include signature" function?

Um… I can’t see any of the bio’s in the City Gates. I could see three or four of them earlier today, but now they are all gone. Is that right?

Yes, in your usercp profile or options. There's a setting that allows you to turn off avatars, sigs and all images if you want.

Ellis: I know that's there, but doesn't that turn everyone's off on your screen only? I'm looking for the option that lets me turn off mine except when I want it. In PhP there was an option that said "Always use signature." I'm looking for that option.

VB has the same thing. In quick reply its at the bottom right hand corner of the box, in advanced reply, if you scroll down, it's listed like phpbb kinda. Can you see them?

Yes, I've seen those. I was just wondering if there was one in the UserCP that turned it off .

Then if I want to post my signature I can slick that box, then I don't have to remember to always unclick that box. Which I never do so I end up editing to remove it. It's just a personal preference thing.
