Board changes - Post with issues or questions
You'll have no doubt noticed that SA.COM has kinda new, kinda not the same look. We have successfully made the transition to VBulletin, thanks to Vex our TAC Admin and SA Technical Admin.
Everything should be as it was before, but if you used the ACCOUNT SWITCH, you'll have to reset you PID's again. Thankfully Vex wrote a much easier script just for that purpose. Log into your character, set your PID (make sure it matches your other characters) and viola...that's it.
If you are not seeing the old posts, make sure your USERCP/OPTIONS Display is set to 'beginning'.
If you cannot get your avatar to work or signature, that's probably because I didn't set it yet. It's late and I'm sick. =(
Everyone should be in the SA Member usergroup. New registered users without their bio's approved can still only post in Downtown Traffic and City Gates. So if you have a problem, you should be able to post them here. If not, find one of us on IM's or post on on the TAC board. www.theangrycrayon.com/forum
No posts should be lost and you'll notice that we rearranged a little with the subforum ability. Hopefully making it a little easier to navigate and unnecessary to scroll so far down. Any questions, suggestions, thoughts or problems, feel free to post. Thank you.

You weren't supposed to see all the clan things on the old forum and should have been only able to view their residences. If you were seeing more than that... it was not working as intended.

Please put links to the Forum and Index at the bottom of each thread when viewing. I really liked that feature in the old boards and find it most convenient to quickly get back to the forum or move onto the index after scrolling all the way down the thread to read it.

Also, I found another missing thread, that Shay was still a part of (it hadn't been closed), but I could only see it under her name, until she posted in it, and then it popped up under the area on the board where it should have been.
Lastly...Ellis...is the spell checker supposed to be working...cause I can't find it either.
If these questions don't get address right away, it's really not an issue...I just knew if I didn't post them now, I'd forget.

Ok, should be fixed. EVERYONE should be able to see all the clan save for the elder discussion and their residences. I think. Yeah. Like how only clan can see the Domicile but everyone else can see Abby and the sect rules...Oh and I changed the permissions for the elder discussion sections too, no one should see that.
I can only see Anantya, and the elder discussion section for it. Even if there's nothing there now, it may cause a problem later if the elders decide to be all secretive.
Also, I can't get the time zones to work right in my UCP. I know I should be either -5 or -6 at this point (damn daylight savings), but -5 tells me it's 3 hours later than what my time should be and -6 says it's only one hour ahead. I even tried -7, and that was one hour ahead too, and -8 was 2 hours behind in relation to my time.
Plus, I checked the City Gates, and there are only 7 bios there. Did they all get moved somewhere else or did they disappear?
Edit: Wait, I figured that last bit out. Everything was set to show only threads and posts in the last 30 days.
Thread Display Mode : Linear - Oldest First (this should be default but just in case)
Default Thread Age Cut Off : Show all threads
Should fix the threads not showing up issues, bellow if that doesn't do the trick.
And though I'm in California, to get the time stamp to work correctly I had to set it to Alaska time, and remove the daylight savings function.
