The new familiar. - Addison (private)

This time Simon draped Addison's arm over his shoulder and half dragged, half lifted him into the main lobby of the Domicile. He checked his neck and a purplish hickey was forming nicely where the fang punctures had been. Carol walked just behind him and he turned to look back at her, only to find her staring at him.

'Your place?' The deer in the headlights look on her face struck him as hilarious and he laughed out loud. 'I'm sorry, where are we dropping him off? Did you assign him a place already?'

Adorable Carol. She was acting so odd tonight. Her arms were wrapped around her chest and she was doing her best to stay out of direct line of sight with Simon. Her shyness was perplexing. He wondered what brought it on so suddenly. Maybe he intruded with her and Addison? He looked at the red head again. Carol flirted with most everyone, maybe this one was special? He adored the pixie psycho, so he'd give her as much slack as she wants.

Carol watched Simon go and was left in deep thought about what had just happened.

"Was it something I said?"

'What? Oh no. That's just Simon, he can be very aloof, but very charming. I'm sure he'll stop by later and check on you.'

"So....how long have you been with Ellis?"

'Oh,' Carol took a seat next to Addison and crossed her legs. She admired her ankle strap shoes and wistfully replied, 'Three years, going on four soon. I applied for an intern job with the law firm of Duibne and then poof...here I am.' She gave him a sweet smile. 'It's an interesting job. I enjoy the control, the mayhem...Ellis. She's a very unique person.'

To say the least, she thought to herself.

'You should get some rest. I can send a cook down to fix you something when you wake up if you like? You'll need to have a good meal, then you'll feel right as rain.' Carol put her arm on the back of the couch and then ran her fingers through Addison's locks. She really did like Addison, she hoped it worked out.

For his sake.

Assured that it wasn't anything he had done, Addison relaxed again, his eyes drifting shut on their own. He listened to Carol talk about Ellis and smiled. It sounded like the woman had a unique relationship with her boss.

He leaned into the warm hand running through his hair. It was damn soothing, even if he wouldn't normally have enjoyed such a thing. Figuring he could sleep a little on the couch and go to bed later, Addison stood, only slightly shaky, to walk Carol out.

"Thank you...for everything, Carol." He wondered briefly if she knew how much he appreciated her help with the...transition. It was going to get a bit to get used to, but he could focus on work for something to ground him.

(OOC: Addison "out" He's off to nap on the couch)
