A friendly Reminder about Reactions

We have gotten a good number of new people lately and have not had a chance to meet and role play with them all. Some of you, like some of us when we started the board, might be new to role playing on a forum of this type. We would like to take the time to remind you that this is not exactly like story telling where you can command all the characters. Here you can only react for your own. For instance, lets take dancing as an example.

Sorin walked out onto the dance floor, turning towards Ellis with a smile. She looked radiant as always and he eagerly moved to place his hand on her waist and pull her close.

Dancing is one of the hardest things to do without cooperation and yet it can be done. In this description, he moved to place his hands around her... she could allow him to do so or perhaps....

Ellis gave her Anantya partner a playful wink before swatting at the hand that was reaching for her waist.

"I'll lead." She said as she reached an arm around him.

If you don't feel that you can do an action or a reply without reacting in some way for another character then you should PM or IM that person BEFORE you reply to the thread to get their approval. This means you need to put in an OOC message at the bottom of your post so that we, the evil omnipresent staff, don't have to speak to you about it.
