Description (if an NPC) or name of your creator/gifter(if a PC) ( Please be as specific as possible, who your creator/gifter was, why he chose to change you, where is he/she now?): Margaret Grey born 1485 (sister to Elizabeth Grey who was the mother of John Dudley 1st Duke of Northumberland and grandmother to Robert Dudley 1st Earl of Leicester). Margaret was turned by Dougal Mac an Fhleisdeir for her connections to the British throne, close enough to easily integrate but on the fringes so easy to over look, she made a good source of information for The Night. She still is but is in India now. She turned Reginald for very similar reasons. He was the second son of a noble family but was in with Berttie's fast set and very popular at house parties. It was all going quite well until his older brother (the one with the title and money) sent Reginald off to the American west to check on the property his bride brought with her.

Personal History 3rd person (1st is acceptable) but please be as detailed as possible, this can/will affect your rp with other players.

Reginald's father, Andrew Joshua Chamberlain, was the fourth Viscount of Weymouth, a reasonably old and prestigious title. This would have been ideal if he had been the heir, but he was the spare. His older brother Cornelius was the one to inherit the title and what little fortune was left and he took every opportunity to lord this over Reginald. (The title has since become one of the many 'invisible viscount' titles. Of course most Americans and even most modern Brits don't know this so he will occasionally lay claim to the title.)

Fortunately they were both sent away to school and rarely saw each other. It was at school, Trinity College, Cambridge, that Reginald met Prince Albert (later King Edward VII) the two formed a very solid friendship. Reginald of course took every opportunity to hold this over his brother.

Reginald honestly felt he was ahead of the game even after Cornelius married one of the very rich American heiress that were flocking to England hunting titles. He was quite happy to gad about with their new found money popular with the house party set and keeping company with the charming Margaret Grey.

Irritated with his brother's pointless existance and expenses that he considered excessive Cornelius cut Reginald off. Very sensitive to her favorite suitor's moods Margaret offered to support him. Confused, as Miss Grey had absolutely no interest in marriage, but in no position to decline Reginald accepted. Eventually she told him what she was and as her family's influence had long since faded she offered to turn Reginald so he could take her place near the throne and in court circles. Reginald accepted.

Recognizing that it would be beneficial to learn the comings and goings of another (more respectable) part of the government Reginald made amends with his brother. Happy to be able to provide information to Margaret and the clan from both the Prince's set and (through his brother) the House of Lord's as well as having both Cornelius and Margaret keeping him in hounds and horses cigars and brandy Reginald was quite content.

Right up until his brother decided he should earn his keep and demanded he go to the American west and check on his bride's new holdings (her father had died and she was the sole heir). Reginald tried everything he could think of to get out of it but his brother wouldn't be budged and he conceeded.

The west wasn't as bad as he thought, not that he enjoyed it at all as everything was so course and common, but what passed for their upper crust just accepted his natural superiority. He found he had fantastic amounts of influence in law and politics and none of the responsibility which suited him quite well.

Still after several years he was more than happy to go back to England. Eventually though things went rather sideways. His brother had sons so any chance of being the heir was dashed. Edward VII's reign was short and the mood of the court changed with the George V taking the throne and he wasn't welcome. Still family connections and money meant he was never too far out of things and the disinherited second son opened enough doors in America to let him form his own network.

Eventually he settled into life rather straddling the Atlantic. He's finally decided that he's spending enough time in the states to purchase an estate and is spending some time over seeing it's restoration.
