Caffene fix

Yeah, it was 9pm and she was on her way home. She still had a mountain of paperwork to do with the organizing of some things she had found to help Sabine. She would be up till all hours of the night, and might even just make it an all nighter. She wanted to have a good showing for when she brought the first report of ideas for her possible employer.

Wearing tight low cut jeans, a huge oversized sweater of thick brilliant blue wool that looked more like a minidress than a sweater, knee length slender black stilleto boots, and a black leather jacket with her red hair falling around her shoulders, she headed into the convenience store for some red bull or mountain dew or something with the power to keep her up and alert. She nodded to the clerk and went to find the windows of drinks that were almost always along the back walls of such places. She walked along the selection and found some coffee drinks.

"Perfect." She smiled with a mutter of achievement.

It took everything Aishe had to keep a poker face on; she hadn't realized Sorcha was actually serious about seeing ghosts. Could some vampires really do that? She'd never heard of it, and she loved hearing about all of their varied and interesting abilities. She'd ask Kiamhaat. Or Chris.

[Really? What are said hours?] she asked Sorcha. [Appointment only or can I walk in?]

Sorcha hadn't really given her anything to translate to Nara, so Aishe just nodded at Nara.
"Yeah but you get that in every city that's been around for a few hundred years," she said with a grin. "Ghost stories, mysterious murders, all that. It must be some fun research. Anything on zombies yet?"

Sorcha chuckled mentally and replied. [Oh yes, the spirits of the departed can be a chatty bunch.] She considered the other part and answered. [For you, I shall extend them. Were you walking back to the Towers?]

The list of terrible deeds of Nachton brought a smile to her face. She signed and then sent to Aishe [Oh Dear, I told Gwyn about leaving those body parts lying around.] Sorcha shrugged her shoulders and then continued [But he does love them so. Now I'm tempted to get him one of those rubber ones that they sell during Halloween. I'm sure someone would call the police though so perhaps we better nix that idea.]

Shrugging her agreement with Aishe, she signed [Yes, Nachton is no worse then any other. The human crimes, which are the things most likely to turn up, are pretty much the same everywhere. ] Innocently sipping her coffee, Sorcha sent to Aishe [I wonder what super natural creatures she's referring to.]

[I am walking to Meridian, yes, and if you're offering I'd love the company,] Aishe responded to Sorcha with a smile.

Turning back to Nara Aishe laughed and said,
"Sorcha says she warned Gwyn about leaving body parts lying around as chew toys. And that Nachton's no worse than any other city, it's true."

Continuing with her "translation" she added, "What sort of supernatural creatures are you learning about?"

((ooc: I figured I'd hop in with Aishe after Sorcha so she can translate easier, it flowed better this way. Hope that's okay! ))

Nara laughed at the comment about the body parts, then responded. "No no zombies. Though one story had a guy that was sure his mother-in-law had become some kind of blood sucking monster and was out to get him after his wife left him for cheating on her in the hotel with a local divorcee. The mother-in-law apparently had been in the lobby when he and the other woman came down to head out to dinner. She is likely the one that told the wife. I think that one could be fun to play on." She laughed. "Especially for wives that want to remind their husbands the cost of sleeping around."

"Another one I found had a guy that was killed by a thief in one of the rooms of a local hotel, haven't found which hotel yet. But he had all kinds of stuff carved into his body. I found old drawings of it, as it was from way back. Freaky stuff. But like you said, most old town has some kind of story that passes along from person to person or even generation to generation getting more fantastical as it goes along."

[Excellent! Gwyn and I would love the company.] Sorcha gave Aishe a small smile over the lid of her drink.

Listening to the tales that Nara had found in her research, she chuckled silently. [Nothing like a good body to practice your Ogham on. I wonder what the druids would have thought of that...Nevermind, I'd rather not know. They might have approved of the idea, especially if it were a Roman body.]

Signing and sending, Sorcha said [ It sounds very interesting research. Tell her I wish her the best of luck.]

Holding up her drink and the tennis balls, she sent and then signed [I need to go pay for these. Gwyn has been very patient but he will walk in here looking for me if I don't show up very soon.]

She took her purchases up to the counter and sent to Aishe [Feel free to take your time. Gwyn and I will wait outside.]

((OOC: Sorcha out. I felt like I was leaving my baby out in the car. Poor Gwyn, I couldn't leave him out there for very long. ))

Aishe laughed softly at Nara. "Hard way to learn that lesson," she said, reflecting that she certainly never had to worry on that herself. If there was one certainty about her own fiance, it was that he was the last person in the universe she'd expect to ever stray.

Sorcha excused herself to pay for her items and retrieve Gwyn and Aishe, after a glance at her watch, realized she had to do the same.
"It was nice chatting with you Nara," she said, and then tapped her watch. "Work calls though."

Many people worked nights in Nachton; Aishe had been doing it for long enough now that it seemed perfectly normal to her.

"I hope your research goes well and you get lots of practice. Maybe we'll bump into each other again one of these evenings."

She smiled at the red head as she made her way to the register to pay for her cocoa. Once that was finished she headed outside to meet Sorcha and the enormous Gwyn, and headed toward the Towers with them both.

((ooc: Aishe out too. ))

Nara nodded in total agreement. "Definitely not the kind of thing I'd want to find out with or without the creepy mother-in-law." She chuckled. "Though better to find out before the wedding than after." She reasoned with a tilt of her head.

"Nice chatting with you as well. And thanks." She glanced down at her full hands and instead of waving, she waggled a finger curved around the coffee cup.

"Hands are full but inside, I'm waving." She assured them. "I hope we do run into each other again. Its nice knowing that I will possibly recognize at two more faces around town." She followed them to the counter. Putting her items down, she waited for the clerk to bag the frappichinos and then paid the total showing on the register before grabbing the bag and heading out the door and on back to her apartment.
