1. Describe your character's personality Jing is calm, thoughtful, and sociable. While he does have a quick temper and can jump to conclusions. He tries to sort through such things. Jing forgives most things easily unless they go against his strong beliefs.

2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger (I.E. typical dress, way they carry themselves etc.) He is a well dressed chinese man whose age is hard to determine because of his white hair, many in modern times assume it is dyed. His dress depends on function. He prefers to be well dressed but comfortable. Amongst his own kind he tends to choose traditional Chinese clothing.

3.What does your character like? harmony, good music, literature and art. intelligent conversation, learning new things,jelly belly beans, heights

Losing his sight - Unlike his creator, Jing has exceptional eyesight but he also has an extreme sensitivity to light. He fears losing the keen senses he relies on so much.

Dishonoring his clan and his Creator - He was a loyal member of the Han family and he became a loyal son of Anantya. Everything Jing did in his life and unlife have given consideration to how it would affect his family. He would never knowingly bring shame to them by his actions.

Fears the loss of Mai - A part of him knows that she has always been there to protect him should he need it. What he fears though is not just her death but a loss of her civilized nature. Mai has gone through stages in which she seems more a wild creature than anything associated with society. She was brought out of one of these bouts of behavior by caring for and teaching the young Thaddeus Grey. Though he has spent no great amount of time with Thaddeus, Jing is very grateful for the bond that he and Mai share.

7. What is your character's strengths and weaknesses? (please pick 3 minimum of each and explain in detail how and why this affects your character)

Impartial - Jing tends to look at things rationally, with a need for it all to make sense. He, therefore, rarely holds an unreasonable position simply because it is what he wants to believe.

Charming - Able to talk to anyone about anything, Jing worked as a spy in life and learned how to become friends with everyone from servant to emporer. He tries very hard to keep harmony and therefore rarely causes anyone great irritation.

Quick Witted - Jing is intelligent and perceptive which rarely leaves him without a plan or a wiity come back. While he might have a tendancy to jump to conclusions, he is careful to wait until there is proof before believing those assumptions are true.

Too Curious - Learning new things calls deeply to Jing. Such a compulsion led him once to follow a very dangerous woman without regard to his own safety. He still frequently finds the need to know something too compelling to pass up, no matter the danger. Frankly, he'll poke his nose into anything that peeks his interest.

Rigid Moral Code - Things are done a certain way. Jing's beliefs are rooted mainly in confucianism and he adhers to those tennants to the best of his ability, no matter the inconvenience that may cause.

Workaholic - Jing enjoys leisure as much as anyone but if there is something that he is tasked with then he will go at it until he drops. Thinking, planning and working on the problem until it is solved or someone forces him to take a break (Don't expect that to go over very well either)

Picky Eater - Asians mostly (everyone else tastes funny) specifically he can't stand the horrible way many cultures treat their bodies. He would refuse to eat from an Asian American who dined on unhealthy food, despite the person's race.

Fear - of being exposed and out in the open. In both social situations and a spacial sense. He can walk across a parking lot or field but he certainly won't stay there shooting the breeze!

Hobbies & Skills (for more information, read here)Over the years he has learned a wide variety of languages. Plays the Ruan,guzheng,Gu Qin (Though he prefers not to) and the Di Zi. As part of the cavalry for the Han, he is able to ride and fight on horseback and shoot a bow. With Mai as his teacher his martial arts skills are quite diverse. Jing prefers bare handed techniques or a bo staff. He plays Go, He is good at tactics,espionage and has kept up to date on technology, especially in that area. He was a good painter and now enjoys photos, videos and computer art.

Cosmetic Traits(Distinct, character defining physical attributes. These should be minor and offer no real power other than to make your character appear more interesting.) Upon being turned by Mai, his hair became solid white.

Quirks and Habits worthy of mention - Has a morbid fascination with reality television. Paces when frustrated. Wears tinted contacts or sunglass(he likes the little round ones)

Jing joined the military early in life. The warring states had just been subdued by the Qin dynasty but that did not mean they were cowed. Jing was born to the noble family of Han and learned much about state craft, archery, fighting and riding. He was chosen by his family to become a member of the Emporer's court under an assumed name. Jing did his job well. He appeared observant and loyal, quickly becoming a favorite of the Qin Emperor.

Eventually the Han had enough strength that they felt ready to overthrow Shi huangdi. They gave Jing the dangerous mission of trying to kill the Emperor. Jing was a spy, not an assassin, but he was trusted and could move freely amongst the court and the palace. On the night of his mission, Jing brought many appeals and reports to the Emperor doing his best to continue their meeting long into the night. However, Shi huangdi grew tired and hungry. He sent Jing out to get a servant to bring them some food. Jing went out and spoke with a nearby servant, giving him the request. This removed the servant from his post beside the door. Now was the best time for Jing to attack the Emperor but he would need to be swift and then depart. If he succeeded then it would not matter that the servant knew of Jing, so long as he managed to escape the palace quickly enough. For soon the Han army would be coming to seize the city.

Preparing himself to commit the deed, Jing stood outside the door for a brief moment, knife in hand. Determined, he opened the door only to find that the Emperor was already dead. Jing quickly looked around the room but there were no signs of the assassin. Wary, but willing to make the most of the situation, Jing pulled the Emperor's favorite amulet from around his neck and quickly hid it inside his clothing. Jing then left quietly before the servant could return.

He brought the news of the emperor's death to his family, showing them the amulet. Jing also told them that he was not the one who had killed the Emperor and that there was another assassin. This information might mean that another of the families felt they were strong enough to take power from Shi huangdi's military. The takeover of the government was postponed while the Han looked for any rivals strong enough to oppose them. The emperor's son took the throne. Jing was praised for his service and his honesty.

But it was the assassin, herself, that found the young man interesting. Mai had not left the room the night of the assassination. She watched Jing's quick thinking and had then followed him back home. Anantya had wanted the Emporer dead for their own reasons and she had been sent to kill him. It was easy enough work and Jing had unknowingly given her the perfect opportunity.

She met him one night as he walked home from a local celebration. Jing thought her a spirit at first. She appeared out of nowhere and there was an unreal grace and speed to her every gesture. Mai offered to teach him many things if he would leave with her. (She felt she was saving his life by removing him from the conflict that would soon begin.) Ever curious, Jing chose to follow the strange spirit girl and to learn what she would teach him.

He has learned very well. Jing was born when the constellation for the white tiger was high in the sky and upon being made a vampire, found that like his Creator, he too had a white animal form.

Several years later, after the Han had succeeded in taking the throne, Jing appeared to the new emporer as a white tiger. It became the stuff of legend. To this day it is said that a white tiger will only appear when the emperor ruled with absolute virtue or if there was peace throughout the world. (Needless to say, Jing has not made any public appearances lately)
