Distractions ((open))

She was a creature of habit, she would freely admit it. The young vampire sat in her normal booth, sipping her normal drink as she watched some of her favorite dancers performing. Not even after the bizarre events here recently would she change.

No, Celeste knew she was in a rut. 'What I need is a distraction,' she thought with a sigh. Shifting one of her fishnet clad legs and adjusting the miniscule black and purple plaid schoolgirl style skirt she wore the vampire propped her feet up on the bench across from her. The buckles and spikes on the tall combat boots clinked softly as she tapped them together unconsciously. If it wasnt for the extra tightly laced latex corset she would have slumped down in her seat, but she still managed to slump her shoulders and sigh.

Her chin length blue black hair was left loose this evening, a change from her normal slicked back style. It hung down and framed her pale, porcelin like face. Thick khol and black eyeshadow left her eyes dark and smoky, which only enhanced the brilliant pale blue orbs that stared at the stage intently. Blood red polish on her long nails shimmered from the glitter in it as she drummed out a rapid beat with one hand, the other propped her chin up.

Carol snorted happily and downed the rest of her drink.

'Well ladies and gentleman, it's been a hoot.' Standing she smoothed out her dress and gave the table a wink.

'It was a pleasure meeting everyone.'

Cel watched the blonde go with slightly narrowed eyes. Yes, she was going to have to think about just what information those damned Orphans had managed to gather on the two De'Espionne women during that Halloween night excursion into Dubine. No matter what it was, it was not good in her opinion.

Just as she was about to wiggle her glass again, with more insistance, her cell phone buzzed. Slipping it out from its clip on her belt her brow furrowed at the number. Damnit, there went her fun evening. Holding it up with a slight sigh, she scooted around and slid out of the booth.

Sorry, business calls. She looked at the pretty brunette and nodded slightly. Thanks for the champagne.. enjoy the rest of it with slick there. Smirking at the man as she flipped open the phone, Celeste squared her shoulders and made for the exit as she greeted her caller in Japanese.

As the rest of the people at the table left one by one Alexa turned her attention to the only male at the table, looking him up and down she yawned, picked up her purse, waved and headed out back to her apartment, who knew, maybe one of these days she would run into her own man again, but then again... maybe not as she hadn't heard from him or seen him in months, biting her bottom lip she ushered a cab to take her home.

It seemed like the night had taken forever but they finally arrived at the club. Once again Panos didn't wait for the driver to let him out, exiting the vehicle he nearly bounded into the crowded doorway. With a quick look over his shoulder he noticed Chryseis was not far behind.

He needed the music and the flashing lights and crowds of people. It had been a long time since he could remember the feelings of pure power, sitting there relaxed in a booth just watching and waiting for the right thrill kill to come to him. He shivered in anticipation.

As they pushed through the crowds towards the booths for a seat Panos caught a glimps of a familiar face leaving a group of people. For a moment he froze and Chryseis nearly crashed into him from behind.

"Panos?" He heard Chryseis ask from behind. She was shorter than him and he felt her hand on his shoulder as she pulled on it to peer over. "Ah."

He shrugged her off and picked up the pace, making his way to the booth he had seen Alexandra at. They were within calling distance when a tall man and skimpily clad woman stumbled in front of him laughing and spilling their drinks.

"Excuse me, can you do that somewhere else please? Me and the lady are trying to walk here." Panos voice was steady as he didn't want to cuase a scene just yet. The night was still too young.

The couple looked at them and laughed.

"Loosen up man, take your bitch and walk around."

The indignant man scoffed and took a swig of his beer. Panos calmly closed his eyes and tilted his head slightly. Chewing on his bottom lip he muttered more to himself than the rude couple.

"I don't have the time for this."

With movements quicker than even a sober person could see, Panos knocked the drunk man out of his way and stepped past the shocked girl who now stood frozen in place stunned by confusion.

With a large disingenuous smile at the baffled girl Chryseis nearly skipped past her in glee. It wasn't often at the museum that she saw a good roughing up. She watched out of the corner of her eye as the bouncers came and escorted the drunk man that Panos had shoved out.

Stepping up next to Panos at the booth she was shocked at the silence. It only took a moment to realize that Alexandra was not there anymore. No, now only two people remained. A man and a bright haired woman. How awkward it must of been for them with some random man standing at their table just staring at them without expression. She spoke up and introduced them.

"You'll have to excuse my companion here, his manners aren't always top notch. It seems he was looking for someone who was recently amongst your party but has now left. Let me introduce myself, my name is Chryseis and this utterly strange fellow is Panos. I hope we haven't interupted anything."

Chryseis's voice prattling on to the people at the table further irritated him. Alexandra had been right there and now she was gone. Maybe he could catch her outside.

"I've gotta go." He turned and began to work his way once again through the crowds.

"But we've just got here! Wait!" He heard Chryseis call after him.

Panos took off like a bat out of hell back into the people. She had called after him but he hadn't paused for even a second.

With a shrug Chryseis turned back to the couple.

"Young love."

Clutching her purse up against her body she too slid through the crowds, only with much more grace than Panos was currently managing.
