The Den (OOC description)

'There are those of us who treasure our solace, but for those who wish to have the reassuring warmth of your family's presence, the den welcomes you. I, however, will be in my room with the door locked.' ~ Iov Hammerthynn

There was a paved drive that surrounded the Tikerak, and the drive led to a lot on the left side of the Den. The Den itself was a rustic-styled lodge, made of timber and stone, consisting of three wings. The main wing faced out onto the Tikerak and had no residences at all in it; it was the gathering place. Two levels, it consisted of a great room with two fireplaces, a dining room that could easily fit double the amount of people as there were rooms, a gym, a small cozy library, and a larger room the Alpha planned to have computers in for those who didn't have their own.

Perpendicular to the main wing, on either side, were the left and right wings. Two levels each, they consisted of spacious suites of rooms that Xeph had given the architect free rein with, with the request that they be roughly the same size but not all exactly the same cookie-cutter layout. As a result, each suite was unique in its own way, from rooms that stayed dim even during the day, to upper levels that had multiple skylights. The Alpha was pleased with the result. The suites would suit all types. There were balconies on each, also at his request, and they opened into a central hallway rather than outside.

At the back of the lot on the left side of the Den is a dirt road, more of a narrow, well-kept trail. Cars aren't meant to be driven here. It is clearly to be traveled on foot. This path winds down the hill behind the enormous Den, back a little bit into the woods of the Long Run. About a quarter mile in a huge log cabin sits majestically on a small bluff overlooking the rest of the Kadzait land. This is the Alpha's house, only recently built in November of 2010. After deciding to have a baby, the Alpha figured he probably should propose to his future wife since women seem to like being married. Then, in typical backwards-but-correct fashion, he also thought she might like a home of their own.
