Phone Tag and House Cleaning (invitation)

The beep sounded again.

Fallon's Voicemail

"Hi Ana, I just got your message, and I was in the shower - sorry I missed your call."

"I'm on my way to work, so I won't be able to speak to you till break. I'll try and call you again then, okay? And Ana..."

There was a short pause.

"Well, thanks again...talk to you later. Bye."

Ana had been playing phone tag with Fallon for several days. This was the most verbose of the messages between the two; a lot of them were simply "Call me." messages. Enough to get the point across, but nowhere near what Ana seemed to want to say. Or hear.

She knew how frustrating it was to be so close and yet so far from actually speaking to her friend. And Aishe had been rather difficult to get in touch with, as well.

She consoled herself by dressing in a pair of really old, horribly stained capris and a tank top, wrapped her hair in a bandana, and cleaned her apartment from top to bottom. ... From just over arm-plus-tippytoe-plus-step stool height, to bottom. She hadn't purchased a vacuum cleaner yet, instead relying on borrowing one from a girl a few doors down.

As she scrubbed the edges of her bathtub with a nail brush and a healthy pouring of Comet, she sank into a mindless rush of body motions and cleanser fumes.

Ana's eyes were wide as she took in all of Fallon's story about being first terrorized then basically killed, which then facilitated her turning. "So, when you and I met... how long had you been turned? It couldn't have been very long, because, well, no offense dear, but you looked like hell. Though, admittedly, I don't know how long all that takes to get into the swing of things."

She reached out a hand to Fallon and gave her a gentle squeeze. "If I forget later, I just wanted to say now, thank you very much for sharing all this with me. It means a lot to me to learn more about you."
Fallon 18 years ago
"That night at the Piazza...as best as I can recall, it had only been literally a day or two. I should remember better, but those first few weeks were pretty fuzzy. I remember being scared, a lot.

Panos was a less than effective creator. He turned me, and then with some very basic information, sent me on my way. Though in all honesty, I didn't really believe much of what he said, and wanted nothing more than to be gone from him. So I didn't actually seek information from him."

Fallon shuddered, and frowned, when she remembered the little kitten in the parking lot. She had thought she'd come to terms with that as well, but now wondered if she ever would.

"I wish now, that I would have known how important you were to become to me back then. I would have gotten to know you better sooner. Time, well, it has a totally different meaning for me now, but still and all, we all need to spend it more wisely."

And it was in the middle of that sentence that Fallon remembered, Ana was human, and still subject to the restraints of time. For a brief moment Fallon was deeply saddened. Luckily she was able to put that thought aside, and not dwell on the sad parts of the future.
Montana 18 years ago
Unable to discern the source of Fallon's shudder, Ana offered another comforting squeeze. "If wishes were horses, and all that. Truthfully, I'm glad we ran into each other again. I had... a lot of things of my own to figure out between that first dinner and the library collision... and now that a bunch of them are behind me, I've put my behind in the past. I mean, the past in my behind." Growling at herself, she snickered. Exasperatedly she exclaimed with her raspy voice, "You know what I mean!"

Gently stroking Fallon's hand with her thumb, she asked, "So, then you met Cyrus. Who obviously taught you light years better than that other guy." In Ana's estimation, he too needed no true recognition, though from Fallon's description of him, she wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley. Or really in anything other than broad daylight, for that matter. "And then Aishe, and then you re-met me, and here we are!" Though Ana's voice had a ring of finality, she knew that there was likely so much more to happen in the intervening months, between that dinner and the library, not to mention Fallon's party and their own "date" on that very night. "I hope you don't mind me saying, but every time you say Cyrus' name, it's like your eyes light up and your skin glows. It's quite attractive and romantic, actually," she said smilingly.
Fallon 18 years ago
The library collision had been fortuitous, no second thought there.

Rolling her eyes at Ana's 'behind', she giggled.

"Uh huh...I get it. And like I tell Aishe, you have no 'behind' issues to worry about either." As far as Fallon had seen, all three girls had very nice backsides, and nothing to apologize for. Though she knew that wasn't what Ana had been referring to, she just felt like letting her opinion be known.

As they talked, Fallon put her other hand over Ana's hand and cradled it between her two.

"Yes, then I met Cyrus, just a few days after I met you. Another stroke of fate, I swear. I had gone into a little convenience store by my house, and he happened in around the same time. I think he was there for the same reason I was, though at the time we were both operating under the facade of looking for a snack I think.

Though we didn't leave together, I did meet him later that same night, and we hit it off pretty quickly. Though we both remained somewhat reserved, as I was still pretty suspicious as well as clueless in my new life, and Cyrus was just being his normal, cautious self. He hasn't survived as long as he has by doing foolish things."

And as it almost always did, when Fallon talked of Cyrus, her face beamed. She had to wonder if Ana had reached her limit of the 'Fallon Saga' yet, and checked her friend's face for signs of weariness.

She was also concerned because though they hadn't actually said the words earlier, Fallon thought Ana had implied she would share herself with Fallon tonight, since adequate time had passed between now and their last encounter. And because she was trying to be a friend, and let Ana be her friend, she had planned on accepting that invitation tonight. In light of all that, she didn't want Ana getting totally exhausted before hand.

Nudging Ana, Fallon moved along the couch, to lie down on her side, swinging her legs up, to stretch out. She then pulled Ana's hand and the rest of her down to lie on the couch facing next to her. She reached up and caressed Ana's cheek, neck, shoulder, and arm, in what she hoped was a soothing manner.

"I did have some built in instincts...you know, the whole survivor aspect. But Cyrus taught me so much more. Like you, he has been completely giving of himself, and supportive of me and my needs. I am truly blessed to have you both in my life. I only hope neither of you ever finds me lacking."

Fallon rubbed her nose against Ana's, and then leaned back again. Fallon's intuitive nature was to associate feeding with sex, though she had not done that with Ana in the past, and didn't intend on doing so tonight, somethings still seemed easier keeping to a familiar pattern.

Ana blushed at Fallon's compliment. "Thanks. I don't get too many compliments on it. It's not like I hide it, either, but then I don't think I know how to flaunt it."

She listened to the fortuitous happenstances that led Fallon from that first guy, to that second guy, to herself, to Ana, then to Cyrus. It was a bit to follow, really, considering the very large and unlikely chances of it being duplicated were even one moment to be rewritten.

Momentarily, Ana chided herself to stop thinking in "Back to the Future" 'alternate timeline' veins and instead focused on Fallon's comment about Cyrus surviving by not indulging in foolish things.

Fallon moved then, and nudged Ana. At first she thought the teacher wanted to lean on her, but when she realized Fallon just wanted to lie on the couch, she scooched forward and lay in front of her, back to the floor. Fallon's hand came up and caressed her. She felt very comforted, very warm in those few moments.

The librarian nodded when Fallon mentioned survival instincts. For a time, Ana's survival instincts included retreating into her games, into her fantasy world where it was so much safer, so much more linear than "real" life... And it had worked until she'd neglected herself so badly.

Giggling at the nose contact, she responded to Fallon.
"Fallon, I can't imagine you lacking much of anything. I likewise will say to you, if there's ever anything you see that would be a good change for me - like getting a wider couch, for example -" she giggled, winking, "-let me know. It is," she continued, "amazing to me that you have met such wonderful people in your time after that very gimungous change in your life. Do you think that it was a change for the better, even with the loss of some of the things most other people take for granted?" Somehow, Ana didn't think that saying "normal people" would be a good measure, because as she herself would admit to almost anyone she knew, she was far from normal. There were certainly things she'd miss if she found herself in Fallon's situation, not the least of which included less inflammatory exposure to sunlight.

Her finger trailed back up to Ana's neck, and Fallon drew little circles around the small pulse beating there. A part of her knew exactly what she was doing, preparing Ana for Fallon's bite. And yet another part of her was still listening intently to Ana's words.

"A wider couch might be something to think about for your new place."

Fallon grinned, and rubbed against Ana's nose again.

"I really can't wait to see you there. I so hope you like it, Bob, the neighborhood. Though, if Bob starts bothering you...he can be a little whiney sometimes...then let me know and I'll put a bug in his ear."

Other than the couch, which wasn't really a serious complaint, Fallon couldn't think of a thing now, nor anything in the future that she would change about Ana.

"Now, I'm completely happy with the 'gi mun gous' change, and I've even made peace with Panos, though I don't think I told him yet. But as strange as it might sound to some, I would never go back, and I wouldn't change anything. Even the fear and pain I experienced, had benefit."

She wouldn't recommend the change to everyone though. Some people really liked sunshine, and some people wanted children, but Fallon was one who didn't miss the thought of either.

Twitching slightly at Fallon's touch on her neck, Ana stretched out a bit more and got comfortable. She was glad Fallon wasn't so far gone this time that she couldn't try to enjoy herself.

"I actually kind of like the couch that's there," Ana commented with a wink. Smiling into the nose rub, she pondered the eventuality of moving into Fallon's old home. "I imagine you will be taking your piano with you? No sense leaving it, since I do not play, and it probably would only end up being used as a catch-all for mail and purse and such."

Ana nodded at Fallon's assertion that her changing ultimately was positive, that she harbored no bad feelings towards any of it. "It sounds interesting, Fallon. I honestly can't imagine it, obviously never having gone through it."

A brief thought occurred to her, but she was so enjoying the gentle caresses of her friend, her brain promptly picked it up and dropped it into a hidden drawer. Closing her eyes, Ana moved herself closer to Fallon.
Fallon 18 years ago
"Oh, yes, I couldn't leave the piano...if you ever want to learn how to play, I'd love to teach you, but I really do need to take it. Anything else you want is yours, and anything else you don't want, I'll see that it gets taken care of too."

Fallon moved her mouth to Ana's neck, and kisses her, then let her tongue slide slowly over the soft skin there.

"You have such a nice life now, Ana...I can't imagine you ever thinking of it, much less considering it. Though, having a friend who is, I guess it's not that unusual that you would at least think about it."

And how would the sweet girl think, once Aishe had also joined Fallon's ranks? The thought disturbed her a little, but she did have something more pressing on her mind now, to give it the consideration it deserved.

"Are you comfortable here...now...for this, or would you rather move to your bed? I want to make sure this goes better for you this time, than the last."
Montana 18 years ago
"As much as I'd love for you to teach me how to play, my ear for music is relatively undeveloped and will likely never. So I'm content just to hear you play. You've such wonderful fingers!" Ana wondered briefly if she was truly considering the piano playing or the gentle, feathery touches Fallon was bestowing upon her.

She felt her pulse racing a little as Fallon teased her.
"It does sound interesting, Fallon, if a little scary, at least from little-mortal-me's point of view."

Her breath caught as Fallon kissed her neck, as her tongue slid along her skin with wet fire suddenly igniting in her. "Bed better," she veritably panted, "Don't wanna fall off, and I want you to stay with me." Her eyes came open - not realizing they'd been closed - and she focused her attention on Fallon's warm brown orbs. She hoped she didn't sound petulantly pleading, but she was having such a good time - which admittedly had been rather limited lately - she didn't want it to end.
Fallon 18 years ago
Since Fallon was so comfortable, she neglected to realize that Ana could easily topple onto the floor from her position. She mentally chastised herself, and sat up.

"Playing the piano isn't too difficult to learn, and if you know how to read music. But I would love to play for you when we have more time...and less people. The night of the party was a little hectic."

And yet another reminder surfaced, but this time Fallon didn't mind it so much. Ana truly was helping her to accept this friendship, and appreciate it.

"Stay? Oh hun...I, well, didn't come any better prepared this time than the last."

And though she had no qualms, she felt that needed to be said.

"If you've got a t-shirt, or something I could borrow?"

Not that she really needed anything, but...it was another thing that needed to be offered up.
Montana 18 years ago
"Reading music is another neat little thing that..." Her voice trailed off as Fallon sat up. "Has always eluded me."

Ana moved to sit up but instead rolled off the couch and landed on her bottom on the floor with a thud. "Oof!" She started giggling, then carefully stood. "Well I do have a few t-shirts you could use, and it's no problem that you're not prepared. Maybe we could get you some special Ana's-Place Pajamas for sleepovers!" Grinning, she held her hand out to Fallon and bowed deferentially. "M'Lady."

When Fallon stood, Ana wrapped her hand in the teacher's and walked with her over to the bed. Turning about, she leaned over to open a drawer and pulled out two long t-shirts - one black, one red. "Is this sufficient?" Ana felt herself blushing. She opened her mouth to speak, but closed it and instead waited for Fallon's response.
Fallon 18 years ago
Wincing when Ana landed on the floor, Fallon then giggled along. Taking her friend's hand, she walked to the bed, and nodded at the idea of having a set of pajama's there. If she hadn't seen how easy it was to find herself ready to stay the night, she might not have thought about it again.

"What I can do is, when you move into the little cottage, I'll just leave behind something." There, that seemed easy enough. As was choosing one of the t-shirts. Fallon took the red one from Ana's hand, and noticed the pinkness in Ana's face.

"What are you blushing about? We've seen each other nude before." Fallon's question was said teasingly, and with nothing but pure curiosity. Had Fallon said something weird? It wouldn't be the first or last time, but she didn't like thinking she might be making Ana uncomfortable.

As she waited to find out, she unfastened her jeans, and slid them off, before folding them and placing them on the coffee table. Pulling off her top, she folded that as well. The bra and panties were a simple pair of soft coral, lacy ones she had recently purchased, and the bra went on top of the shirt. Since she had been out shopping that time with Suki, Fallon had become a bit of a lingerie fanatic. The red shirt was pulled on last, and Fallon moved to the side of Ana's bed, and pulled down the spread, before lying down.
Montana 18 years ago
"Sounds like that could work."

Ana mirrored Fallon's motions of getting undressed. "Well, that's not quite what I'm blushing about, Fallon. I was... going to ask if we could sleep as we did the last time." She felt her ears burning at the sides of her head as she set her glasses down on the little computer table. "If you feel comfortable that is."

Ana tossed her own plain white bra into the hamper in the corner next to her dresser. Slipping into the black tee and out of her jeans, she laid in front of Fallon. Smiling, she said with a winking giggle, "I hope you don't mind me noticing your undies are a bit more fancy than last time."
Fallon 18 years ago
Hearing Ana's explanation made Fallon smile. Sitting up, she quickly divested herself of the red t-shirt, and laid back down.

"Well, I'm completely fine with the idea, and this way we don't need to worry about any little specks of red stuff getting on clothing. Not that they would have shown up on the black, but they might have on the red. And I won't need to rip open the top of your t-shirt, to get to your 'sweet' spot."

And now it was Fallon's turn to blush. Of course the 'spot' she referred to was the soft, beating area of Ana's neck. She had heard that term used before for other parts of a woman's anatomy though.

Pulling up the thin elastic ribbing on the top of her bikini panties, Fallon nodded.

"I have Cyrus' assistant Suki to thank for them, or rather introducing me to pretty bras and panties."

Furrowing her brow, Fallon decided that statement didn't sound altogether the way she intended either. But she waved it off.

"You know how some women profess to having hundreds of pairs of shoes? I think I've become addicted to having pretty lingerie."

And though she had begun wearing them to please Cyrus, Fallon found she liked wearing them for herself, as well.
Montana 18 years ago
"I didn't want you to think me weird for making such a request," Ana said with a sideways shrug as she sat up, lifted the shirt over her head to drop on the floor, then laid closer to Fallon. "Of course, you need to explain -your- blushing now," she commanded imperiously.

She glanced down Fallon's lovely curves to the snapped band.
"She has good taste, and it seems she's imparted that to you. Not that I get to see a whole lot of womens' underwear, mind you, but it meshes with your personality and accentuates your loveliness." "Did that sound right?" she wondered to herself as Fallon compared her new lingerie addiction to shoes.

"I've heard about such shoe maladies, but thankfully I don't have that one. My own exposure to pretty lingerie has been oh, about sixty seconds or so. I've only ever bought plain, unfrilly colors. Then again, I don't really have anyone to share it with, well unless you and I make this a regular occurrence." Smiling gently at Fallon, she felt her ears color again. Suddenly that drawer-bound thought pushed its way back into her main consciousness. Her eyes widened; she licked her lips but didn't think it would be a good time to bring such a thought up, so she pushed it back down where it wouldn't interfere with her moment.
Fallon 18 years ago
"Ana! I won't ever think you're weird. Truthfully, I only mentioned the t-shirt out of some old sense of propriety. Silly huh, to be worried about such things, after we've grown as close as we have? It really does make much more sense this way, and I know I sleep better without a lot of material wrapped around me. I think I've always had a high metabolism, and don't know how this new lifestyle effects that directly, but I do tend to run warm."

Explain her blushing? It was the sexual innuendo Fallon's comment held that made her blush. Fallon didn't want to be the one to introduce Ana to any aspects of sex, since she wasn't sure what her friend knew now. Their relationship was bordering on the erotic in Fallon's mind already, and since her relationship with Cyrus had become more serious, Fallon wanted to remain faithful to him. She wasn't sure if he would feel the same way, and in all candor, if he felt the need to incorporate sex into his feedings, she wouldn't be thrilled, but she would understand, and accept it, as long as he kept those things to himself. She, on the other hand, never had gone beyond the 'feel' good stages, while attempting to get someone to cooperate with her needs.

"Oh, just thinking about that spot on your neck. I don't always, but sometimes when I feed, I get special feelings. That's why to me, that spot on your neck makes me think to call it a 'sweet spot'."

So at least in that way she had answered honestly, but not as detailed as she could have.

"Suki is phenomenal, and I'm learning a lot from her, underwear being just the tip of the ice berg. I'll be sure to introduce you, if she's ever around when you visit. I swear the girl never lights on anything for more than a few minutes at a time. She reminds me a little of a butterfly the way she flits around. But Cyrus would certainly perish without her assistance, and the two of us get along famously."

Still not one to take compliments that easily, Fallon let this one go by as well, with just a soft 'thank you'. It did give her an idea though, and she filed it away for the next time she was out shopping.

With both girls now resting on their sides, breasts just brushing against each other, Fallon's hand and finger returned to begin drawing lazy circles on Ana's neck, yet again. When she spoke next her voice became softer and an octave lower.

"You shouldn't wait to share that with someone, though I'll grant you, it does make things exciting to watch as you unwrap the package, so to speak."

Fallon loved seeing the desire in Cyrus' eyes, when she removed her clothes, and revealed the little bits of lacy to him.

"You should also do some things because they make you feel good."

And as she had done on the couch, Fallon leaned in and kissed Ana's neck again, and licked the skin. This time she also sucked lightly on the pulse point specifically. Leaning back again, just not as far, her finger drew a line up and around Ana's ear, and behind, down the length of her neck, and across her lips. Fallon's eyes stayed with her finger, the entire time.
Montana 18 years ago
"It does make more sense, you're right, but after that first night I think I've discovered that uhm..." And her cheeks colored yet again, "that I like the feel of warm, naked skin against mine. And I like you warm." She offered a small smile.

If she'd been sitting upright, Ana would have tilted her head trying to dislodge strange thoughts she sometimes got when people described things to her.
"Special feelings? Like, hunger, or something beyond?"

Ana tried to imagine this Suki woman flitting around like a butterfly, being so very helpful to Fallon and Cyrus. She sounded like a fun gal to spend a day with. "Is Suki a vampire, too? Or just a vampire helper?"

Ana responded to Fallon's soft 'thank you' with a soft 'yer welcome' of her own. When Fallon's finger returned to her skin, she felt a jolt of tickle. She felt something very pokey at her chest, and she realized her nipples had become hard. "Not having anyone to share it with doesn't sound like much fun, but perhaps if I meet Suki the three or four of us can spend a day shopping and pampering each other." Suddenly a lightbulb went off in Ana's head. "Come to think of it! I actually -have- met Suki! Well, that is, if there is only one rather sweet Asian woman in Nachton named Suki... Suki... Suki Langston. That very first night I met you, I met her later in the Spa at the Piazza. Wow. She seemed so very nice. She helped rescue me after I ... had a run-in with a towel cart and made all sorts of noise."

Ana took a deep sighing breath as Fallon teased her neck, ear, and this time her lips, too, with her so-gentle fingertip. "Does treating me so decadently make you feel good, Fallon?" Her voice dropped to a near-whisper, raspy and deep. "I'm pretty sure I like it." Pursing her lips, she gave a soft silent kiss to Fallon's finger, just as her chocolately warm brown eyes melted, and looked up into Fallon's.

Funny how when you cared about a person, simple little touches meant so much. In her short life as a vampire, and her need to constantly feed, she had learned ways to touch people, to make them feel good. But when it was a stranger the touches never seemed to elicit any response in her.

With Ana, as with Cyrus, when Fallon touched them, knowing where those touches were leading, Fallon always experienced pleasure. The depth varied, but pleasure was still pleasure. It occurred to her what she had heard about loving and caring for someone really did make a difference.

"Well, special in the sense that I don't always feel them. In fact, you and Cyrus are the only two people in my life who have ever made me feel them. And I really don't mean to be cryptic, but it's difficult to put into words, since this is still so new to me. I guess in a way the feelings could be called hunger, but not in the way you might think."

Fallon thought she might be able to show Ana, but decided it might not be a good thing to show her. The last thing Fallon wanted to do was to lead Ana into thinking of her as more than a friend, albeit a very good friend.

Returning her attentions to Ana's neck, Fallon moved even closer, so she no longer needed to reach to kiss and nibble. In doing so, she became fully aware of Ana's aroused breasts, and had to admit she was feeling stirrings in herself. She knew Ana was talking about Suki again, but wasn't being to successful in making sense of the words.

"Yes, Suki is a...helper."

Fallon's words were breathy, and aimed at Ana's ear, and while talking she continued to lick along the throbbing skin.

"Shopping...uh huh...fun...she is...sweet. You're...sweet..."

Her hunger was coming upon her full force now, and Fallon was trying to remain conscious of what Ana was saying, but failing.

"So sweet..."

Hearing something about decadence almost brought Fallon around, but she was past the point of turning back.

"Yes Ana...it feels..."

And with one more loving lick, Fallon slid her fangs into Ana's neck, and nearly climaxed when the girl's blood began filling her mouth. Fallon sucked slowly, even though every fiber in her body was screaming at her to such hard and fast. Instead, Fallon rubbed her hands along Ana's back, and rested on the swell's of her buttocks, and drank. The nectar that slid down her throat was familiar, but this time the things she felt in her body were not. At least not in the context of Ana.

When she knew she had to stop, Fallon couldn't help a small moan, but retracted from Ana's neck, and licked the closing punctures. Once they were indeed closed, she kissed the skin around where the bite had been, and pulled Ana's head to her breast.

"Thank you, dear Ana, once again."
