I think that's the beauty of RP. You can make up any reason for being away, within reason. It would probably be kind of cool to have xerxes rp coming back to town without a clue of what's happened, having him figure it all out, except for maybe what's happened publically to Evenhet. I would imagine he'd have a way to keep abreast of what happens there. As for the rest of the clans, there's tons of RP'ing to be had discovering everything.
