Coffee for one (( Open ))

In the heart of winter very few people braved the outdoor seating at the little sidewalk cafe. Even with the heating lamps blazing on the patio, most preferred to be tucked away inside close to the roaring fire and the delicious aromas from the pastry counter. But on this cool Tuesday evening there was one blonde sitting snuggled up in her leather and fur edged coat, sipping a cup of steaming cafe au lait. The coat's hood was pulled up partially and her warm blonde hair spilling out was a sharp contrast to the dark mink fur. Peeking out in between the jacket's front several brightly colored strands of beads glimmered in the light against her stretchy black knit turtleneck. Long legs wrapped in soft ebony leather were stretched out under the table and the toe of her boot clad foot tapped against the table's leg lightly, in tune with a song she hummed to herself.

Amberelle looked up from the cup she had clasped in her hands and sighed softly. Her golden eyes roamed the crowd, a touch of sadness in them. "Just another day here.. no parades, celebrations or parties. How... sad." Yay... Fat Tuesday. she mumbled to herself.

She was homesick, she knew that. She'd expected it when she left New Orleans behind to come here. It was just being lonely that she hadn't counted on affecting her so much. The young Anantya looked away from the crowd and picked absently at one of the pastries on her plate.

OOC : Feel free to join her or bother her, she's lonely!

"Nope. I'm only casing him. I need him alive for now. Thanks for asking." She wanted to giggle, this particular mark was not a kill, but a new runner. He'd been sniffing around one of her rats and was asking for a piece of the pie, she had to make sure he wasn't running for some one else first.

"Sadly I don't get to hit them all." She grinned at Amberelle and looked into the restaurant proper. She caught the eye of a waiter and waived him out.

Ahhh... The blonde chuckled softly. Sorry, my own experiences shining through there for a moment it seems.

Seeing the waiter headed their way, she slid her coffee cup over to the side a little more for him to refill and grabbed a couple packets of sugar. Adding five into the cup, she wondered how Ginnie liked to drink her meals. Amby was always curious about others' hunting styles. It wasn't a topic of conversation her siblings had ever wanted to discuss before, leaving her fairly clueless about how most people hunted.

So, how do you like to eat? I like mine laced with a nice dose of fear and adrenaline.. dealers and rapists are usually good.. She paused when the waiter came up and filled her cup, quietly thanking him and waiting until he was gone before continuing. But sometimes you can't take the time to work up your food, non? Then I like tourists.. but not quite the same number of them here that we had in Louisianna. Shrugging, she stirred up the steaming drink and took a sip.

Ginnie wrinkled her nose at the amount of sugar Amberelle put into her coffee, she'd be sick for an hour with that much. She left the creamy coffee bitter and took a sip, divine.

"Well, Amberelle, I like to play with my food. I enjoy a little lust, or adrenaline, and on occasion apathy. It really just depends on where my meal takes me I guess. The docks are good fodder so are some of the bars. Though you have to go early, unless you like your adrenaline diluted with forty proof."

She put the last of her pastry in her mouth and washed it down with a sip of steaming coffee.

Wrinkling her nose up daintily, Amberelle shook her head in a firm negative when Ginnie mentioned alcohol tainted blood. She didn't like them when they were really drunk. A little drink or two wasn't so bad, it added a little body to the vitae but much more than that was just.. gross.

Yech. I can't stand alcoholics.. or people who drink cheap beer, they usually reek. She knew the snob in her was showing but so what, a girl had to have standards she told herself!

Now the docks, that sounds promising. I haven't hunted down there much. You never know what clan controls what down there... and Heaven knows I don't need to be pissing off anyone outside of my clan. 'I have enough problems from inside it..' I think two bon fillies like ourselves should have no problem having dinner delivering itself.

"I've never had trouble." She grinned and studied the shop across the street. There was someone else at the counter now. She checked her watch and decided she'd come back the next night around the same time and follow him home. For now, she was hungry and wanted to go shopping after she ate.

"Well, I've lost him. Shall we?"

Ginnie pulled a few bills out of her pocket and stuck them under her plate. She leaned forward to get up and realized her butt was asleep and possibly frozen to the chair. Laughing she flopped back.

"My ass is asleep." She wiggled from side to side until pins and needles began to prickle all over her backside.[i]

"So, would you like to hit the mall after dinner?" [i]'See, I'm not squirming like I need to take a piss.' She began to laugh harder and snorted in the process, which only made her laugh more.

Ginnie managed to finally get her sleeping ass out of the chair and they left the patio laughing. They'd decided that Amberelle should drive, and Ginnie was asked if she needed anything from her car.

"Not unless you want C4 or a GPS system."

Ginnie was suitable awe by the swanky piece of metal her new friend was driving and said as much. Amberelle backed out and drove them toward the water front.

((Ginnie and Amberelle out, movement and conversation permissions granted.))
