Personal History (Please be detailed, this creates your basis for your character)

Born on a balmy summer evening in Attica, Greece in 802 AD, Chryseis Mehalitsenos was the twinkle in the eye for a young roman couple. Nicephorus had become Emperor of the Roman Empire, or what was left of it. Her childhood was happy and read like a storybook. She was married at the age of 16 and had bore 3 children by the time she was 24. They were a boy named Falnos 9, a girl named Medea 6, and another boy by the name of Panos age 4. Working as a midwife, Chryseis couldn't have been happier with her life. That was until one horrible day that summer. Chryseis came home from working, a bit tired but in a general good mood. She had delivered a set of twins that day with no complications and minimal repairs on the mother. Upon entering her home, she felt that something was immediately wrong, Calling out her husbands name she rushed to his side in the back room. Their youngest son Panos, was lying severely ill in his bed. His skin was blackening and his groin was swollen profusely. Crying out Chryseis threw herself onto the bed with her son sobbing. Her husband struggled to pull her off afraid of the disease being spread even more. It was the Bubonic plague and it had struck her household with its mighty fist. That evening Panos passed away in his fathers arms while the family looked on. Chryseis was devastated but wasn't given a chance to mourn as she heard coughing from behind her and dread filled her again. Turning around Falnos her oldest had slumped to his side and was looking grave. The next two days was the end of her world. Falnos and her husband both passed within hours of each other and Medea had died in her arms 12 hours after that. The plague was swift and unrelenting in her household. The neighbors boarded up her windows and doors during her misery leaving her trapped inside. They had only hoped to contain the disease and knew no other way to keep themselves free of its death grip. As Medea's lifeless body lay in her arms Chryseis sobbed between coughs of her own. In a matter of days her life had been turned upside down and destroyed. She waited and welcomed her own death and wished it would hurry up. That is when she heard the noises of the boards being pulled from her front door. A beautiful woman whisked in towards her and introduced herself as Morrigan Kinsey. She stated that she had been watching Chryseis for years and now at her extreme time of need wanted to extend a gift to her. The gift of everlasting life and knowledge beyond what any human could ever attain in one lifetime. Chryseis was delirious with grief and her onsetting sickness. She begged Morrigan to bring her daughter back to give Medea the gift she offered to her. She tried to shove Medea into Morrigans arms and pleaded with her . There was no bringing a child back from the dead. Especially a child who had been dead for hours and hours. The coughing became worse during her pleading, gagging on her own blood reminding her of her own mortality. She could not save her precious babies, but maybe with the gift this strange woman was offering she could learn what could stop this monster disease, possibly saving others. With this new revelation, Chryseis laid Medea's body on the bed, tucking it in gently next to her brothers and faced Morrigan and accepted her generous offer.

It was from that day that Chryseis was turned. She followed Morrigan from her home that night and for years remained as her closest companion. She stayed devoted to finding a cure for the horrible bubonic plague and was there when it finally was stopped in Europe. Morrigan taught her the ways of the vampire, how to feed how to hide and how to live unnoticed. After seeing the Bubonic plague demolished Chryseis became apathetic with life. She had seen many things been many places and had lost her empathy for humans. She became turned off of their feelings and returned to being a midwife. This time it was to use the opportunity to feed. It was easy to hide behind the job because mothers and children alike died during childbirth. She continued on like this moving about countries and cities, never staying in one place for more than too long. She found herself in North America during the 20th century. Here even in the poorer community's people seeked out the help of professionals for childbirth, and fewer people believed that random deaths happened during the process. It was a harder to survive during this century and Chryseis struggled and barely made it along. At the break of the 21st century Chryseis contacts Morrigan again, seeking help. She was called to Nachton by her old friend and now resides in Heolfor Manor with her two BullMastiff dogs Achilles and Briseis who never seem to age or die. Sometimes at night a nightingale can be seen flying out from the manor and her song can be heard for miles. Some say it Chryseis calling out to the other Ananyta clan vampires, calling them home, and others say it's Chryseis sharp call of the kill. Either way, the song brings shivers to all that hear it, whether in terror for humans or glee for the vampires
