Well, I had a bout of insomnia, and figured perhaps we could use it for something useful and entertaining. I guess I go on autopilot and just start putting things away in different ways. Over the years I've gotten better at doing it in a useful way. One particularly bad week during my second year of college I'd color coded everything in my room, so there were these nice, large blocks of color...but within those blocks would be books, cds, pictures, artwork and folded clothing. Not particularly useful, but that was also my worst bout ever. Since then, I've been able to keep things pretty useful and have usually only gone at most with 2 nights sleepless. :P

I learned how to sleep on horseback a looong time ago.
My pinnacle was the time I tried to set my car on 'autofollow' while driving down to Louisiana a few years ago, so I could nap on the way. :P That was when my last waking braincell told me it was time to find a hotel. 21 hours of driving FTW!

I organize things while bored so if its within reach and I have nothing better to do it will get stacked, ordered and rearranged. I used to do this to my room in the middle of the night as a teenager. I've got to say moving a Queen sized bed around by yourself is an interesting challenge.
I like the colour coding, Alec, I bet it was cool to look at. Did you get a picture before every day life messed it up?

Hehe Back in my Eq days i used to stay up 36 hours at a time. One time i fell asleep in PoNightmare in an exp group, I think i woke up like an hour later at the graveyard and decided to log out =P.
Through my latest job I learned how to fall asleep in the little ass cabs in dump trucks, ya kinda wake up with a crink in your neck tho /sigh such hardships =/

I also like to rearrange furniture when I'm feeling restless. Although with the layout of our condo now, it's tough... these rooms were really meant to have certain things in certain places.
My most recent invention has been moving our computers out into the dining room, since we don't actually have a dining room table. Now I can cook and game within ten feet of each other. How convenient!

It seems that I don't have a picture of it anymore...but I'll check with some of my friends. I know a couple got shots...it was more bizarre than neat, though. It was like looking at the aftermath of someone else's psychoses and being shocked by it, then finding out that YOU'RE the nutter. Of course, 3.5 hours over 8 days will do that. I don't recommend it.
The worst I've witnessed personally was 198 hours consecutive. I'm SO glad that wasn't me. At least my big drag was divided up a bit. I can't imagine folks that live like that all the time...boggles the mind.
Now I'm down to a short stint at the turn of the seasons and that's about it. Really can't complain much.

Added Mayonaise, Blood Red Tears and Sweet Dreams...was thinking about Amber for Aflarinn to Thaddeus, but still considering. Gimme the Prize was going to go to the Wolf, but BRT totally trumps it. Thinking about Local God for Nova and Jan...but I can't sort out who is singing to who!
It sounds like Ginnie might start singing Hey Pretty to Alec soon, too...if she doesn't kill him for calling Harrison Ford "that guy from K-19," that is. :O

I love Hey Pretty and had actually thought of that for Nova for the dreamlike quality of the song and the assertiveness of it (Nova is a dreamwalker)..and the whole take a ride thing. I've never heard Local God but the lyrics are funny .
