Qu Yuan's studio apartment (open: rare books for sale)

After some quick haggling over the phone, Qu Yuan was able to get the owner to fix the rent at a reasonable rate. They met just after nightfall (the owner winked knowingly... his name had been on a real estate brochure at the manor, and Yuan assumed the man did business with vampires often), and Yuan luxuriated in the expansive openness and sparce furnishings of the flat. Though part of him wanted to remain at Heolfor Manor and bask in the hope and strength that his newfound family had given him, it was unavoidable that at least part of the week he lived elsewhere, at least until his business dealings had reached the point that he could afford to set up shop here in town.

He had certain of his things delivered from the storage room a little before 10 pm, and he spent most the night unpacking and beginning to put his wares in order. As dawn neared, he pulled the heavy velvet drapes across the darkly tinted windows (more proof of the owner's penchant for vampire clients), dragged the bedding into a large walk-in closet in the center of the apartment. Closing the door, he drifted into sleep...
