Welcome to Terminus(Description)

History

Terminus is situated on a civilian airfield that was once the primary airport for Nachton long before the population outgrew its capacity. Unfortunately the area around the airport had grown as well and there was no free space with which to expand to meet the city's growing needs. So plans for a new airport was made and the old airport was abandoned by the city and sold to a wealthy eccentric.

Recently that individual and his partner began working on a joint venture that they hoped would fill a gap in Nachton's adult entertainment industry. It involved geeks, sci fi, gaming, alcohol and socializing...things not normally strung together in the same sentence.

Staff

The staff at Terminus all appear to be working at an airline of the future. The uniforms are a white with neon piping in various colours that correspond with the area they work in. There are many different designs, some taking a page from Star Trek with micro mini skirts and go go boots and some tend toward the more functional one piece jumpsuit. The common features are colour and futuristic appearance. Each employee got to choose their uniform design.

((OOC: Feel free to RP the staff helping out with drinks and orders. The service can be good or bad but the staff will not do anything that would result in being fired so keep that in mind. ))

Parking Area/Main Lobby

The parking area to Terminus is quite large, once accommodating many cars left in the lot while people were away on their trips. For this reason and for the sake of security, there are drivers that patrol the parking area. They loop around the lot and drive up to both entrances of Terminus. The security team drive around in airport baggage trains; people who do not wish to walk can hop on one of these vehicles for a ride to one of the two entrances.

The main entrance to Terminus was once the spacious airport lobby. The doors open up right onto the dance floor. At the back, the counters for checking in with different airlines have been removed and a long futuristic chrome and neon bar takes their place. The baggage conveyor behind the bar leads back to the kitchen and stockroom. With an intercom system the bartender can call for more supplies and someone in the back can send them up via the conveyor. Mirrored shelves with neon blue lighting hold a large selection of alcohol and assorted other things for making drinks.

On the far right side of the main building is what used to be the baggage claim. The carousel is still there but now it holds tubs with lighted bottoms that are filled with ice and bottled drinks, and specially made trays built on a pivot that stay level even when tilted on their sides. These hold various snacks but especially sushi which is made fresh and sent up from the kitchen. There are also chips, buffalo wings, sliders, pizza and other tavern type food arranged on the moving buffet table. After picking out what you want to eat and ringing it up with the cashier there are tables around this area so that people may eat and watch the dancing going on on the other side of the room. While it is noisy here with the music pumping, it is actually far enough away to be able to hear someone at the same table without needing to shout.

Connecting Hallway

Down the center of the main lobby there is a large connecting hallway with a sleek white metal look and a rounded tube design. It has neon lighting along the sides and small display screens built at each junction. These screens show scenes from the room as well as explain the main function of the concourse. For special events the display screens will list those as well. For example: a tournament in the gaming concourse would have scenes from the game, scenes from the tournament and info, such as the time of the tournament, list of those entered and rankings as the tournament progresses.

Computer/Video Gaming Concourse

The next concourse is the computer and video gaming area. The décor here is bio hazard at its best. The sleek clean walls are bisected with orange running lights that can be set to a soothing soft glow that gives people just enough light to see by or something much brighter. There is a recessed strip of florescent white light that runs along the top when more light is needed.

One side of the concourse is computer gaming with computers lining the front wall in smooth white half cubicle stations lined on the outer edges with orange piping. The height of the stations allow each gamer some privacy while also making it possible for them to stand up or lean back to talk to friend or opponent if necessary. There are comfy high back computer chairs in neon orange. The stations all have headsets, cup holders, small trashcans (for the inevitable snack wrappers and empty energy drink cans), a dispenser with alcohol wipes (for those gamers who like cheese puffs or chocolate ) and a call button that lights up the outside edge of their station when they wish to order something from the kitchen or bar. (So they never have to leave the game).

Along the back row of the computer gaming section are sonic chairs in white and orange. They are deep circular design with a speaker system built into each one. Some of the chairs are outfitted with the latest iPads for those people who can't seem to stay away from their internet but somehow managed to leave it at home. The other chairs have a swiveling side table for those patrons who brought their own shiny laptops to play with. Each chair has a small ottoman to make it possible to surf the web in style.

The other side of this concourse has the video gaming section. Most sections have wireless video game rocker chairs in orange and black. On the floor between each set of chairs is a white mini table with a flared base (to keep it from being knocked over in the heat of the game). The little tables have deep set cup holders in the four corners and a recessed area in the middle for snacks. Each side has a call button that lights up the back of rocker chair for service.

Toward the end of the concourse is the more active area. These stations are set up for the wii and xbox connect with plenty of room so that people can dance, jump and flail to their hearts content. Further back there at these stations is a tall sleek table with deep cup holders and a place for snacks and the call buttons. These are stable and hard to knock over, much like their mini companions. These are the perfect height to take a little break while waiting your turn.

Along the back wall of the video gaming area are rows of large orange bean bag chairs with low white tables situated between each one. These are perfect for lounging while cheering on your favorite gamer and catching a few Z's before its your turn in a tournament. (We know you guys need sleep, you're not fooling anyone.)

At the very end of the video gaming area are the small studio rooms. These are sound proof (Trust me, you'll thank us) areas set up for games like guitar hero, karaoke, and rock band. They have enough room for the band and a few extra seats for the groupies. There is a place for drinks and a call button for when you want to take a fiver.

Traditional Gaming Concourse

The traditional gaming concourse looks like a studio set from Blade Runner. The sleek walls are done with a faux wood high gloss paneling interspersed with triangular wall sconces that give the place a nice golden glow. The carpet is a deep lush red.

Here you will find pool tables in rich red felt, dart boards, poker tables, even a couple of air hockey machines and a foosball table. Each section has an interactive display unit so that people can keep score, or not, as they choose.

Interspersed along the walls or in between sections are large sleek sofas and chaise in black micro suede. These have coffee and end tables made of black lacquer and alabaster marble. The marble glows from within creating a soft illumination to the seating area. There are call buttons in these areas as well as by each gaming station.

Those wishing to take a longer break are invited to do so at the large pub style bar made of burled wood located in the central section of this concourse.

Dining and Conversation Concourse

The final concourse has its own entrance for those with children or who do not wish to make their way back through the noisy night club and dance floor. This long concourse is furnished in futuristic sleek white and a light soothing sage green for a modern yet peaceful appearance. Situated at the back of the airport, the dining concourse looks out onto Nachton's modern skyline.

Each table is a white egg shaped dome when not in use. The six white wedge seats with sage green cushions fit snugly beneath the table. In use the top of the dome lifts to form a canopy above the diners heads illuminating the table with soft white light from above. The base of the table glows a soft green.

Larger oblong domes are available to accommodate larger parties.

In the center of this concourse is a small Japanese inspired sand garden and a cascading wall high water fountain centered amidst live bamboo.
