Baby, its cold outside (Attn: Therese) Private

Vaughn sighed and looked at the stack of paper work and then out the window. The sun was low on the horizon. The pack had already gathered in the woods. It looked as if he would not be leading the Lloer Vesha tonight. At this rate he would be lucky if he could catch up with them.

Putting his glasses down on the desk, Vaughn scrubbed his face with his hands. These reforms were going to be the death of him. He hated politics, at least he was fairly certain that he did. The ridiculous back and forth banter, the deals, the compromises and all the red tape. Seeing changes happen that he felt were for the betterment of everyone, that he loved, though he might not admit it.

Vaughn checked the sun once more; it could no longer be seen on the horizon. He hurried out of the building. It was snowing again, piles of it were already building up on the last snow fall. Vaughn grinned; he loved running in the snow even if it would make finding the pack that much harder. Impatient now, he jogged towards the edge of the woods, unbuttoning his shirt as he went.

Therese 13 years ago
There was no point in pretending she didn't enjoy his attentions and arched towards him, savoring that near growl and supplementing it with a throaty chuckle of her own.

One leg wrapped around him, pulling him to her, and the other she used agile sensitive toes to trace the length of his legs. All the while her hands were attempting to memorize each muscle, each inch of skin, everything from shoulders, to arms, back and buttocks. She couldn't reach him with her mouth, she couldn't taste him and whimpered softly. It was oddly important that she be able to taste him, Thérèse was suddenly afraid this wasn't relay, that some how the mulo had substituted himself.

Even worried that she was dreaming his mouth on her breast near brought Thérèse out of her skin, but in the best possible way. Unlike there tryst in the moon light this time she could see him. She looked down and found those familiar blue eyes. She'd come to know them well, but the expression was one she'd only seen a pale imitation of when they danced.

Gently but insistently she guided him so that her lips could find his again. She couldn't stop there and again nibbled her way down his throat and shoulders. As she started alternating kisses, nips and licks on his shoulder one or two nips became sharper than strictly necessary. Not that she drew blood, but enough to confirm he didn't taste old, rancid or rotted he wasn't one of them.

Smiling to herself as she softly kissed those kips in apology Thérèse slid one of her legs between his rubbing in up and down along his inner thigh. She was no longer cold.
Vaughn Emiliano 13 years ago
Vaughn looked up as Therese made a little noise of need. She reached for him and he obliged the hands that pulled him closer. He melted into her kiss and the hands that pressed him close. She moved onward in her exploration of him and he tilted his head down towards her, closing his eyes in bliss as she lavished his neck with attention. Vaughn's eyes sprang back open when she bit him harder. A gruff sound of approval rumbled upward from his chest, he clutched her tighter, urging her to do it again.

Growling softly, he rested himself on top of her, guiding one of her hand's back to his hair as he bent his head down to her neck. Returning her affections, he kissed her passionately, nipping more roughly than he had before. Vaughn ran his teeth lightly along her collar bone in contrast to his bite before he moved back up to claim her mouth once more.

He desired her now as much as he had last night, only now he was aware of himself enough to want to prolong every part of the experience. However, the teasing encouragement of her leg along his inner thigh was making that very difficult.

Leaning down, he nibbled gently on her ear before muttering softly.
"It would be helpful to my sense of stamina if you would politely be less irresistible."
Therese 13 years ago
She reveled in the weight of him, the feel over him on her. He again found that spot on her collar bone but he was more aggressive this time, she moaned. Thérèse's eyes closed and her head fell back exposing her throat.

Breathing deeply she inhaled the moment the smoky fire, the musty mattress, and him. She had no idea where her hands had gone, only that she could still feel him. It would all be etched in her memory for longer than their one night.

He made her smile, even now as he was teasing her past endurance, when she desperately wanted him, he made her smile.

"I'm afraid you do not exactly inspire patience."

It was hard to wait, but at the same time it was delicious she didn't want to end this. Finding one of her hands which had some how started caressing the curve of his rear she trailed it up his back but only using the tips of her fingers and her nails dragging them lightly up to his shoulder and then sliding them down his side caressing, massaging his hip. She worked her hand between them along his stomach and lower, generally doing her best to express how impatient she was.
Vaughn Emiliano 13 years ago
Seeing her head tilted back in pleasure and hearing her soft sounds of desire were intoxicating. He wanted to find all the little ways there were to arouse her further, which places to tease, where she wanted to be kissed. He could happily spend a lifetime discovering the different ways to please her but he had only a day. He couldn't seem to get enough of watching her, feeling her, tasting her. He wanted to wrap himself around Therese and touch every part.

He smiled, his lips against her cheek, at her words.
"Mmm...its overrated anyway."

Her nails ran lightly up his back. Vaughn shivered, her delicate touch lighting every nerve on fire. He held still, watching her, as her hand slid down his chest and made its way lower. Her teasing ministrations elicited gasps and twitches until he couldn't take it any longer. Vaughn took her hand in his and placed it over her head. Slipping between her legs once more, he stretched himself over her. With his free hand he guided himself into her, gently; though she had made it difficult to be patient. Straining his own willpower to its limits, Vaughn made that first stroke take forever. The need to move was a painful ache but he held still inside her, feeling her warmth around him. It was heaven.
Therese 13 years ago
For a man who claimed patience was over rated he had a gift for stretching things out. Thérèse, however, did not have this gift not today. She raised her hips to meet him. The feel of him in her was more than welcome. She took a ragged breath savoring, willing herself to be patient and make this last.

One hand was still his, held above her head, the other she used to cradle the back of his head and draw him to her, losing herself in a kiss. Her lips leaving his only long enough to mutter,

"I could learn to be patient."

She tightened herself around him and was as much restraint as she could manage slowly rocked against him.

"But, it might take practice."

And then her lips were again otherwise occupied. His control would shatter her. Thérèse desperately wanted to cram weeks, months, of this into the one day, the few hours that they had. Yet at the same time, much as he must, was wanted each second, touch, sensation to last as long as possible.
Vaughn Emiliano 13 years ago
The seconds were eternity and yet not long enough. She moved, pushing against him, breaking the tenuous hold he had on his restraint. A moan escaped his throat. Vaughn met her thrusts with his own. The smooth pace he intended to set becoming more fevered with every ragged breath.

"Well...we'll just have to... work on it."

Today.

Vaughn let go of her hand and tucked both of his arms under her back. He held her close as he moved inside her, afraid this would all end too soon and she would slip away. His face was buried in her hair the light scent of her shampoo mixing with her own. He tilted his head and confessed quietly against her neck.

"I don't want this to end."

Not just this moment, but this day, this feeling. But end it would.
Therese 13 years ago
That was music to her ears, she shivered a bit enjoying that sound. She shivered a little feeling his restraint starting to give way. Thérèse wrapped her legs around him, encouraging him working to push him over the edge. More than that though, she wanted more of him, this was just not enough.

Her own breath was coming fast talking was just not something she could manage well right now.

"There is time... still."

The day wasn't over yet. There were no clocks. There was time to practice yet and she certainly wasn't planing on just one time. The rest she didn't want to think about right now, in fact she refused. One day in her whole life she was going to be a romantic, she wasn't going to be practical.

Without warning her toes curled and that delicate little shiver turned into a breathless shudder. She tried to hold on further, to prolong this but it was a losing battle.

"Mon Dieu..." She panted. "I need more practice."

She didn't let go though, she would have to soon enough but for now she was not letting go.
Vaughn Emiliano 13 years ago
There was no restraining himself when Therese came around him. Nor would he have wanted to. Vaughn gasped, holding her tightly as his body went rigid with release. He was breathing hard, his muscles were going to collapse but he was more content than he could ever remember being in his life.

Vaughn leaned back enough to give her a lopsided smile
. "Normally I would argue but not if it means we get to do that again."

He kissed her lightly and nuzzled her neck, not ready to move away, not yet.
Therese 13 years ago
She laughed lightly and wrapped herself around him absently rubbed his shoulders, keeping as much of hr in contact with him as possible.

"Mmmm... practice makes perfect. Not that there is much room for improvement."

With a long teasing stretch she smothered a yawn and thanked whatever twisted imp had caused that meeting to run late. And whatever spirit that had held him back.

She tucked her head under his and closed her eyes, content for the moment.

"Why weren't you with the Pack tonight?"

Thérèse didn't think he was waiting for her, but it seemed a little odd he was not leading them. If not leading at least running with them. After all, they were pack animals. Which reminded her they had not gotten around to hunting and she was hungry. Well there was nothing to do about it now they certainly couldn't run to the store. They wouldn't starve to death though, and she'd rather remain her and hungry and with a five star meal and alone. So long as the fire didn't go out, she was happy, it was perfect.
Vaughn Emiliano 13 years ago
Vaughn slowly pulled himself off her, reluctant, but knowing his weight would be a burden eventually. He sprwaled out onto his back, watching her stretch and stifle a yawn. Pulling her close, Vaughn tangled one long leg into her's and sighed happily as she tucked herself against his chest, her head beneath his chin.

He closed his eyes and smiled at her question. "There had been a late press conference and a meeting afterward that I could not be absent from. I contacted the others and let them know I would be late. The Legion was leading the Lloer Vesha last night. When I got home, I didn't leave work behind. I was already late so I continued going through paperwork until it was almost dark."

He was something of a workaholic. Even his childhood friends told him as much. Vaughn regularly missed at least one night of the three. He led the pack often enough, but he thought it wise that they also take direction from some of the others. Their teamwork made them mighty but he did not want to be a liability to his people. If the mulo killed him then the pack would still be able to function without him in a fight.

"I thought I might catch up or simply run alone but..." He lifted his neck and kissed the top of her head. "I'm very glad neither of those things happened."

"And you? What held you hostage until night fall?"
Therese 13 years ago
With her eyes closed Thérèse became more aware of sounds and smell and touch. She could heart it still snowing, the fire still cracking, smell the smoke, feel the warmth from the fire and the chill in the air and yet all of that was over ridden by an awareness of him. Well except perhaps the chill, but with a little creative stretching and judicious use of toes she managed to get one of the blankets up off the floor and over them all without really leaving where she'd contentedly tucked herself against him.

She laughed at his explanation and chided him slightly,

"All work and no play... You should get out more."

Although she understood the sentiment. Her grandfather did occasionally have others lead, her mother most often, but on rare occasion one of her uncles, aunts or cousins, even she had done it once or twice. It was rare though. More often they would splinter into a large group with her grandfather at the head and a smaller group with another leading them.

"Running alone is never nearly so satisfying."

She wasn't at all opposed to a bit of double entendre as long as it was done in good taste.

Lazily, without opening her eyes Thérèse lightly kissed his chest.

"The English. She is a brilliant speak but getting her to shut up is harder. I should have scheduled the meeting earlier in the day or for a different day but I forgot she can ramble on. I wasn't sure I'd make it back. I almost stopped at the preserve."

Although she was a little hesitant to do so. After all that was where she had found those two, the stoat and the jackal. At least the stoat had been amusing, less so the jackal and who know what other mulo in animal form were out there. She did not wish to take on a vampire bear or mountain lion.
Vaughn Emiliano 13 years ago
"So I'm told." Vaughn smiled and hugged her close. "I'm afraid I have never been very social and always rather serious."

He had a sense of humor, or at least he thought so, but he was quiet. Vaughn rarely offered his opinions unless they were asked for. He was finding such requests as Mayor to be different than the requests made to him as Sarkis. Often they already believed they knew what he thought about situations and policies, media was quick to put words in his mouth. Vaughn enjoyed surprising them and forcing them to pay attention. It was a verbal sparring game and he found that direct simple honest words were hard to manipulate by the press.

"No, it would be difficult to be that satisfying alone, although..." Vaughn grinned. "I am more limber as a wolf." He quickly shook his head, no, before she could ask.

"Thank the good spirits for the English then." He rubbed his hands along her back and said quietly. "I'm very glad you didn't."

He looked around at their cozy little hideout. It wasn't five star but it was warm and dry. If they had some food then things would be perfect.

"Do you want to see if there are cans of something around here somewhere? Or we could go hunt if you're hungry."

Vaughn was warm and content despite the rumble in his stomach but he could easily be persuaded to go look for something to eat.
Therese 13 years ago
"We could fix that..."

Thérèse offered. Although, it stung a bit when she realized they couldn't, not really. Well a fund raiser here and there they could probably get away with. No. No. No. They couldn't get away with anything. There was nothing. This was one day, that was all. She brutally crushed any negative emotion and concentrated on the present.

As he responded to her suggestive yet subtle humor Thérèse let that shift her mood. She smiled broadly.

"If you find running alone that satisfying I will be hurt... and perhaps do not wish to know about it."

This might still be acceptable, the teasing. But it would be questionable and far too easy for it to become obvious flirting. But it felt good right now it was a closeness they wouldn't be able to share again. Her smile twisted to something slightly bitter and more ironic.

"The spirits that follow me are rarely good, or helpful. Perhaps tonight they thought to make it up to me."

No they haunted her foot steps and sent mulo and his agents. Thérèse was convinced that she was being watched constantly since that last confrontation.

Food would be good but she doubted anything she found edible would be here. If they were stuck for more than a day or two she could manage with whatever they could find though.

"I highly doubt anything worth hunting is out in this. Perhaps you should rummage and I will find us more wood. We have to keep up your strength."

It would hardly due to return him worn out and starving.
Vaughn Emiliano 13 years ago
Vaughn felt a glimmer of hope in her easy response. It suggested that she would be around, they would see each other again in some personal fashion. He chided himself for it. It was simply the thing one said to a socially inept shut in...we'll help you get out more, don't worry. Vaughn tried not to think about the many social events he would happily brave if he could do so with Therese standing next to him. It was not that Etta was a terrible companion, she was fine, but being the center of attention came so easily for her. He doubted she understood his unease.

He shook his head again.
"No, I don't think I could find my own company so...compelling."

Vaughn wondered what Therese meant about the spirits following her. Sometimes their ancestors had a way of watching over them, approving or disapproving of their actions. He could not imagine what the spirits could possibly see in Therese to be upset over but she implied that they were not normally generous.

"Mmm true." He sat up and rolled out of the bed. The floor was cold and he knew that moving away from the fire would take dedication of purpose. With a deep breath, he headed towards the back of the small cabin. There were a few boxes in the bottom. In one he found a can of beans, some vienna sausages, a can of spam and a jar of mix nuts. It was hardly a gourmet meal but it was better than nothing. He picked up the box and headed back to Therese and the warmth of the fire.
Therese 13 years ago
"I think you should let me be the judge of that."

She said with a warm smile.

"Or perhaps you doubt my taste?"

She felt the need to make her own opinion on the matter quite clear. If she could find away to see him, then she would. Even if they had had to remain distant and professional.

The bed felt considerably bigger and more empty with out him in it. Thérèse sighed a bit to herself. If she already regretted his absence, how were they going to manage once they were back? Perhaps they could just stay here, until the spring thaw.

Thérèse was not nearly so brave as to tackle the cold naked. No she wrapped the blanket around her and found the wood pile, gathered more, and added to the fire with a speed that would have challenged the fastest of their pack. But rarely did one have such a good motivator.

Curling up as small as possible to preserve as much hate as she could Thérèse didn't move until Vaughn returned and then she wrapped herself around him and covered them both up. Typically this was not what she thought of when one said, 'romantic weekend' but despite the chill and damp she couldn't have thought of anything more appealing.

Except, perhaps, the food. Thérèse narrowed her eyes at it suspiciously.

"I think I can guess why it was left here. What is Spam?"
Vaughn Emiliano 13 years ago
Vaughn smiled at her, refusing to protest too much. She found his company worth having and that was all that mattered.

Upon returning with his find, he was embraced by a somewhat chilly naked woman and covered with a blanket. Somehow this situation was absolutely perfect. Vaughn wrapped his arms around Therese and rubbed her back and sides to help warm her up once more. Looking over into the box, he frowned at the rounded rectangular can.

"You know, I don't have an idea." He reached in and flipped the can over. "I've never encountered a spam out in the wild. Have you?"

He looked at the ingredients and shrugged. "According to the label, its pork." It had chopped pork, salt, water and potato starch as the main ingredients.

Vaughn held up the vienna sausages, regarding her with a dubious expression. "These any better?"

He slid the can of mixed nuts over her way. "You best keep those. If I eat peanuts you'll have to dig us out a way to the hospital and I'll be no help because I'll be busy trying to breath."
Therese 13 years ago
This was going to very quickly lead to other activities that would keep them warm Thérèse noted, and she certainly didn't mind that thought.

She was a little horrified by that list of ingredients.

"I doubt there is a wine in the world that would make that more palatable."

The other was no better. It really was amazing what people would eat, but then her own tastes were specific. It was when he mentioned a nut allergy that Thérèse laughed. She couldn't help it, it was funny.

"We are going to starve to death with food in our hands."

It wasn't true, she was exaggerating after all she could and would eat what he had found if it became necessary, but she wasn't going to worry about that unless they got snowed in a second day. But between her preferences and his peculiarity what had been found was hardly helpful.

Through her giggles though she did carefully take the nuts away from him and set them safely away from Vaughn. She then tucked herself up against him, and it wasn't just for warmth. Yes she was hungry, no she wasn't starving. The sun would set, the moon would rise and they would hunt soon enough.
Vaughn Emiliano 13 years ago
He regarded the box of food thoughtfully and then glanced back up at her. "Oh, I don't know. A strong wine would do fine. You just have to drink the entire bottle first. After that it won't matter much what you eat."

Her laughter made him laugh with her. Vaughn looked at Therese and smiled. There was just the beans left. It didn't really matter; they had no can opener. They wouldn't starve but he had hoped to provide her something to eat. They probably should have hunted before...the snow started falling so hard.

She slid the jar of nuts away from him. His grin widened. "I'm saved!" Leaning close, he tilted his head to the side and whispered in her ear. "My fierce protector, how can I repay you for saving me?"

He moved closer, box of food forgotten, and nibbled gently on her neck. "If you're not sure, I can think of a few suggestions..."
Therese 13 years ago
"Rather inconsiderate of them to not leave a good strong bottle behind then wasn't it?"

She enjoyed the sound of his laugh, as she had snuggled up against his chest, she enjoyed the feel of it too. It was warm, cozy and comfortable.

Thérèse blushed slightly, very -very- faintly when he noticed she'd moved the nuts away from him. Some allergies were more pronounced than others, it was possible that touching them or even breathing the dust could trigger a reaction. Of course, she didn't know how sever his allergy was, but she had intended to keep from finding out.

"Half your kingdom? Three wishes? I don't dare ask for the hand of your first born."

She'd rather have him and tilted her neck a bit wordlessly expressing that though.

"Perhaps you could just ... ... keep me warm for a bit."
Vaughn Emiliano 13 years ago
Vaughn smiled into her neck as she made her requests. Glancing around the small space, he grinned at her. "Would you like the left side or the right?"

Returning his attention to kissing her, he ran his lips lightly over the top of her shoulder. He paused to answer.
"Depends on your wishes but I will see what I can do."

Her final request caused him to chuckle softly. "I have twins. Which would you like?" Vaughn wasn't sure his son would know what to do with a girl other than request she scream in a horror film he was making. Tobi probably did a lot more than he knew about. Vaughn would prefer not to think about it too much. Tavi, on the other hand, flaunted relationships quite often. If there was a werewolf or human that he was likely to disapprove of then Tavi was just as likely to date him...or her.

He stopped again at her final request.
"Now that, I think I can do." Vaughn picked her up and set her back on the bed, climbing in after. He settled himself gently on top of her and pulled the blanket over both of them. Reaching down, he took one of her hands and kissed it lightly before pressing it to his chest and rubbing the backside of it for warmth. Vaughn repeated the process with the other one and then paused and gazed down at Therese.

"Do you want to tell me what's cold or should I just explore?"
