Description (if an NPC) – Amity doesn’t do much to try and make herself look better, she’s perfectly happy with the way she is naturally, slightly crocked nose, from a handful of breaks, spotty freckles, wild hair and all. She is of average height and never wears heels to change that. She likes to think her hair looks like the dried fields back home, pale golden yellow, and shimmery in the sun. She gets it trimmed every few months because though she loves her long hair, she doesn’t want to be able to sit on it, and her eyes confuse her. At first glance her eyes are a pretty light honey brown but when you look closely they happen to be every shade you could possibly imagine for eyes all flecked together, she never really understood how all of the blues and greens and grays could incorporate into the browns and blacks to make her specific shade of honey, but she loves them none the less.

Personal Questions

1. Describe your character's personality - Amity is certainly an interesting person, she isn’t happy unless there’s something going on, she craves activity, whether it be working, playing poker with a roommate, or going to check out the new hot spot in town. If she’s bored she’s miserable; hence why she ran away from her small town birthplace two long years ago. She is a true and loyal friend to those who prove themselves to her, and is very open to making new friends. She finds the everyday mundane tasks some of her gender indulge in to be tiresome, and quite pointless, she will never spend an hour on her hair, she will never put more makeup on than simple eye liner and mascara, and she will most certainly never endure pancake sized blisters just to wear those cute new high heels. She is very stubborn in some areas, but can also be quite flexible. She has a sarcastic nature about her that some people seem to like, and she does, on occasion, flirt unintentionally.

2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger - When a stranger were to pass Amity in a crowd they might not bother taking a second look as she typically dons a rather plain appearance, a pair of blue jeans, most often light and destroyed, sneakers, and a tank top is her typical garb, there is never anything special of extravagant done to her hair and she doesn’t carry herself in a ‘look at me’ manor, though her posture is always straight, and confidant. If someone were to get a closer look they would realize that she is rather pretty, that the honey brown of her eyes is made up of a million little flakes of color, and that her smile is radiant not to mention contagious. She never seems unsure of herself of down, she has quite a bit of spirit and she isn’t afraid to let the world see it.

3.What does your character like? - Typical for a girl her age, Amity enjoys a good party, though she’s not quite as hard core with it as some, she always turns down major drugs and limits her drinking to three nights a week. She also very much enjoys being active, even her low paying, demanding job as a waitress gives her some satisfaction, she’ll walk for half an hour in the snow to get a vanilla or pumpkin spice latte, and as she grew up with three brothers in the middle of nowhere she can fix a car as quick as a mechanic and is rather good at football and brawling. Every once in a while she’s even content to just sit and talk to someone she finds interesting for hours on end.

4. Dislike? - Being lonely isn’t something that bothers Amity, as she grew up an hour and a half away from the nearest town, but she often does need a companion of some sort to keep her from getting restless as the thing she hates most in the world is being bored. She’ll do nearly anything to prevent it as it pretty much drives her insane. She is also a bit of a neat freak, no O.C.D. to be seen, but if a house is filthy it makes her skin crawl. She won’t touch chocolate cake, and has a weird dislike of raisins and bananas.

5. (For humans) Describe what abilities you see your character having if they were turned. - For a werewolf the abilities Amity could see herself having are a Deft Touch, Dexterity, and Keen Claws, because she is as a human very good with her hands and enjoys the sort of tasks required of them. As a vampire Amity would likely have Subterfuge, and Sending as she is a mentally strong individual and is already quite talented at hiding her emotions and sending out messages to people without words.

6. What are your fears? - The thing Amity is second most afraid of is having nothing to do for long periods of time, being bored, it reminds her too much of her hometown and her brothers leaving, it also gives her way too much time to think about her life in Nachton, the lies and deceit make her feel incredibly guilty, causing her to slump into a depression, which leads us to our next fear, the fear of death, and eternity in heaven or hell, or where ever it is you go, seems like too much time to fill. She is certain that if she lived forever, even in spirit form she would succumb to extreme boredom often. Another thing that truly terrifies Amity is that she will fall into a destructive addiction, like her drunken hillbilly father, and what scares her more is that she’ll end up like her mother, a lonely housewife whose only attention from her husband is shouts and backhands. Her very worst fear is someone finding out her real identity, her lies, and her family.

7. What is your character's strengths and weaknesses? - Amity is very strong in the fact that she is who she is, bottom line, it takes something truly drastic to influence her and most often she springs right back from it before the influence can manifest in her actions. She also loves to study people, anyone really, their behaviors and reactions, she finds people fascinating and because of her little habit she can be quite empathic. Her third strength is that she always looks for the unique, whether it is an endearing antique or a person with an interesting history. Many people tell her that her greatest flaw is that she’s too stubborn, she doesn’t take criticism well and most often refuses direction from others, even if they have the best of intentions and are completely right. Though Amity is a very strong willed person, she isn’t always a good judge of character, she often stumbles upon bad people and comes to accept them as friends, which sometimes puts her in dangerous situations, though, when she begins to notice their negativity she shuns them as quickly as possible, she holds strong to the quote “Your disposition I'll remember when I'm letting go.” Her very biggest weakness is families, when a happy family piles into the diner she works in it tears her up inside, as she misses her family quite a bit, and it reminds her heavily of the web of lies she lives in, no one knowing her real name or where she really comes from, but it was a sacrifice she had to make to have any sort of happiness.

Flaws – Listed here(Include Tier Points) -

Hobbies & Skills - Amity is skilled at quite a few things, including sports, drinking games, handy man sort of things like fixing the garbage disposal or putting up that new shelf perfectly level, and other things involving time consuming work with her hands. Her hobbies include do it yourself projects, she can make a bird house of a new picnic bench like nobody’s business and restoring old cars, her favorite being a light blue ‘56 corvette that she’s currently working on in a friends garage. She does the restorations as cheaply as possible, meaning junk yard raids, which she hates as she dislikes filth and clutter, but she would do just about anything to fix up her cars, which she has four of, all achieved either for free of with minimal payment, the above mentioned corvette, a ’67 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 that was hardly more than a frame when she found it, a ’69 Camero, and a ’68 Pontiac Firebird.

Cosmetic Traits - Amity has pretty good skin, especially for a teenager, despite her light scatter of tan freckles running across her nose and on her cheeks below her eyes, her knees hold the reminisce of many past skimmed knees, she has a scar straight down the back of her right elbow from a reconstructive sugary, a result of one of her many broken bones, light scars sprinkle her skin in various places from falling from trees, fighting with the boys, being too rough in sports, and a clumsy moment or two, the surgery scar being the only immediately evident one.

Quirks and Habits worthy of mention – Amity’s seemingly meaningless habits are quite often insights into her mind, for example if she stands with one hand on her hip she is usually irritated, even if she’s smiling and laughing, if she tugs on her ear she is having trouble making up her mind about something, when she looks like she’s not paying full attention to the conversation, looking away for fiddling with something, she’s lying, and when she is playing with her hair in front of a guy, even more so if she does it in a way to expose her neck, she’s interested.

Personal History – Amity was born and raised in a Podunk town called Shoshoni, Wyoming, her home was about an hour and a half away from town, so naturally she was stuck at home with her rowdy older brothers ninety percent of the time, over the years they taught her the ways of the country man, and man could this little girl chop some wood, and as her brothers taught her and she struggled to keep herself busy at all times her father began to drink more, and more. Her mother started to become a little more secluded, not talking quite as much, and laughing a lot less, Amity was only a child, but she could tell it had been Daddy’s fault. It didn’t take long for her to become sick of home; she was only ten when she began to get restless, never seeming to find enough to do to keep herself happy. It was eating at her, this boring lifestyle, her father’s drunken rampages, and her brothers slowly fading away as they left for collage. She had seen Nachton on television and always got a bit of a rush when she watched about it, it’s incredible night life, opportunities to spare, and so many places to go, so many people to meet, she was twelve when she began to save her pocket change and sneak a few bucks at a time out of Daddy’s wallet when her was too drunk to notice.
It was only weeks after her sixteenth birthday that her last brother ran off to college and abandoned her, and she only needed a little bit more cash to make her extremely detailed plans come to life, she could really do it, she could really get to Nachton. The thought made eruptions of excited butterflies in her stomach every time. So it was that night she snuck into her father’s wallet, taking the biggest amount yet, over two hundred dollars, and snuck out through her bedroom window. She ran through the forest to the field only a few hundred yards from the house where her brothers and she kept the cars they worked on, she jumped into the only one that didn’t look like it could run. She had been working on this car herself, purposely pretending she couldn’t get it to work and refusing help from her brothers just for this day, and she was gone. Her parents found her room empty the next morning with a note on the bed apologizing, and assuring them that she loved them, but they never heard from her again. And so Amelia Locksley started a new life in Nachton under the alias of Amity, a name she picked up from a kind old man on one of the many busses she took to reach her dream world. It was a little difficult at the very beginning; she had to use the last of her money on a small apartment, and luckily got a job as a waitress soon after to pay for food and the next month’s rent. But life came easily to her here, she made friends, had things to do, was astonished at finding, to her priceless, classic cars in the junk yard, she immediately knew she was right to come here, that this was where she belonged.
