Alexander was in good spirits. True he had yet to speak to anyone other than a waitress and the patiently attentive bartender, and yes his Gatto mask was itching like crazy, but it was refreshing to watch people as they mingled on the dance floor, hovered around in small groups near the tables, or actually sat in the booths enjoying drinks and conversation.

For once he didn't have to behave immaculately. It was doubtful that anyone would recognize him unless he removed the mask, and the Rifles Uniform he wore wasn't one most American's would identify easily.

He had watched the giant man in Greek Armor stroll over towards the charming young lady in the White Mask and despite the obvious size difference between the pair, they seemed to be engaged in polite conversation.

An elegantly dressed 'vampire' and her blond haired companion were seated at another table with another masked woman.

And all the time, more and more people were entering Eternity.

Annonmymity, for once, agreed with Alexander.

"Don't worry.. I'm not as young as I look, don't let this face fool you"

Smiling she placed the beautiful mask on the table between them.

Ezekiel almost whistled in appreciation. As it was he stopped his jaw from dropping by quickly sipping away at the champagne glass. Pretty was an understatement. And pretty tended to make Ezekiel soft in the head.

He felt all flustered, and not because the breastplate he wore suddenly strained against the leather straps holding it together as his chest swelled.

"
I declare Miss Alyshia, I mean Aly, well shucks. A big lug like me, well I'm not to fancy with words."

The scars around his neck seemed to tighten.

"I swear you must be the purttiest gir- I mean woman in this place. Ain't no other going ta change my mind on that opinion tonight. No-sir-ree."

Ezekiel didn't care if tonight turned out to be a total non-event. He had met a beautiful creature and she wasn't afraid of him.

Blushing madly as he called her the prettiest girl in the club she couldn't help but let out a soft tinkling laughter, this man was something else, for one noone had ever treated her like this, made her feel something more then a little girl, but this man, he was acting as if she was a grown woman not some 16 year old girl and she liked that feeling very much.

"Thank you Ezekiel"

Smiling at him she took another tiny sip of her champagne, suddenly she felt like giving him a big hug but that would be a bit strange having just met the man and she didn't want to give out the wrong signals, her instincts told her there were others like her around, maybe he himself was like her, that would explain the wolf part.

"So tell me, what happend to the wolf who did this to you, have you seen it again?"
Ezekiel 17 years ago
"My pleasure, Aly." Ezkiel coughed softly, feeling slightly embarrassed by her attention.

Ezekiel thought about her question. Up to now he hadn't considered he'd given too much away. Wild animal attacks human. Not entirely out of the question. It happened. But not the way it had happened to Ezekiel.

He drowned out the sounds of the nightclub and focused on Alyshia.

Her heartbeat was steady, a little fast perhaps. Her lips quivered ever so slightly with each breath she took. And her eyelids covered those deep blue eyes as would be expected. He could smell her behind the taste of champagne on her perfect lips, and beyond the subtle fragrences enticingly wrapped within in flowing hair and supple skin. But still Ezekiel could not tell if she were like him.

Only seconds had passed, and Ezekiel smiled as he answered, his voice oddly subdued.

"I knew an Indian once, had a knack for the knowing. Once said that people-folks and beast-folks used to be brothers and sisters once. Long time ago. Only in these times, not so much. But even now when a man and a beast shed blood together, they can join like kin. Stand as one. Walk one path. Share one spirit. Me, I'm no Indian. I'm German American. But I like to think what that Indian said is true."

She let out a small gasp at his words, they way he talked.. he must be a Peregrinus turned by one of her kind, that would explain the scars and the strong smell he had around him, but she also know that one ever gave away who or what they were especially not in a public place such as this.

"There is more between heaven and earth then just human beings, i have to agree with the words of the indian and say they are probably true"

Smiling she softly touched his big hand, looking around the club she took a deep breath, it was becoming so crowded and hot in there.

"Would you like to acompany me outside of the club, I would very much like to take a long walk and enjoy the fresh air"
Ezekiel 17 years ago
Ezekiel stared at the tiny delicate hand resting on his and shivered in spite of himself.

"I reckon I'd like that very much. A fella my size just don't sit to well in places like this."

Ezekiel laughed.

"Especially on chairs like this."

He squirmed in mock irritation at being seated thus.

"Don't feel sorry none for Ezekiel, Aly. I gets a bit melancholy like sometimes. But I reckon we all do at some time. You lead, I'll follow. Ain't no-one going to be likely to stop you."

Ezekiel carefully picked up the delicate mask and handed it to Alyshia.

Grabbing the Greek Helm, Ezekiel carefully slid out from the table chair and stretched to his full height. It felt good to stand again.

He offered his hand to Alyshia.
Alyshia 17 years ago
"Why would i feel sorry for you my dear Ezekiel, you look like a man who is very capable of taking care of himself, even while sitting on chairs too small fro his body"

Winking at him she took the her maks as he offered it to her, holding on to the satin ropes that had binded it around her head she took his out stretched hand and stood up from the metal chair, the satin of her skirt flowing with her as she stood, leading Ezekiel towards the exit she looked at the people around her, she could understand why he would feel out of place and for the record so did she, this just wasn't her cup of tea.

Nodding at the bouncer as they passed him they stepped out into the cool night air, taking a deep breath she felt glad to be outside again away from the smoke and the heat of the club.

Ezekiel breathed deeply as he exited the Club with Aylisha. Eternity had been an interesting diversion, but it really wasn't his scene.

He'd had a few drinks, suffered the minor indignity of a resentful chair, and had met an enchanting beauty that was almost half his size with a smile that made him feel all funny inside.

Staring over the crowd that had continued to gather around Eternity and Babylon, Ezekiel asked.

"Where to, Aly?"

Octavia Emiliano 17 years ago
Tavi slid down in the seat next to the blonde and turned to pat the booth in invitation for Tobi. She would have started the conversation but her brother spoke first and was obviously a bit shy about the whole scene. Cute...really he was adorable.

Which meant it was her job to pick on him. She repressed a grin and the looked up at him wide eyed.

"Come now, do be a good boy and sit down. Whatever will Miss Edith think of your manners behaving like that."Â?

Raising a hand to her chest and leaning over in a conspiratory manner to the poor woman who's privacy they had just invaded she said.

"Really if it weren't for his looks then I don't know how he'd get by at all. I'm afraid it is not his poetry.. He does try though, so very hard... Hmmm... Oh, did you know pigs cannot sweat? Vampires can't either but their dead so I suppose that's the way of things..."Â?

Picking up her glass, Tavi sipped primly at her drink for a moment more before grinning at the blonde who was kind enough to play along with their act. It was good to know there were people with a sense of humor in this city. Setting the alcohol down, she pointed towards her brother.

"This is Tobi Emiliano and I'm his sister, Tavi."Â?

She hoped they didn't plan to do anything to embarrass their family's good name tonight. If so they would have to do it without any witnesses.
Tobi Emiliano 17 years ago
That –had- to be latex. Or a makeup job. Something. Chicks that looked like that were –not- nice. And they certainly didn’t have a sense of humor.

Tobi was pretty good at doing as he was told and quite gladly plunked down next to his sister in the booth before he said something stupid. Okay, hot nice chick. This was impossible, so he figured he might as well go with it until the other shoe dropped.

“Amberelle, that’s a nice name,” He tried, then realized he sounded stupid and shut up.

He pulled a rather confused face at the mention of poetry that, he realized moments later, probably proved his sister’s whole point with regard to his rhyming skills. Fortunately Tavi very quickly moved on.

Wait just a damn minute here…

“They do –so- sweat,” he argued, for a moment managing to forget his own nervousness in the overwhelming need to bicker with his sister. He did manage a somewhat sheepish wave when Tavi introduced them both, but turned right back to his sister, hissing. “They –totally- do.”
Xeph 17 years ago
Watching the parade go by was fun, but Xeph soon found himself drawn to the inside of the club, and headed to the bar for a quick drink. Evetually he'd head to Babylon and meet up with Hammer, but for the moment he was just here to enjoy some people-watching. Neither club was really his scene; he far preferred the comfort of his Den and the companionship of his Pack, but publicity was publicity, and the niceties had to be observed by everyone, particularly Pack Alphas.

The variety of masks was outstanding, and while his was somewhat unimaginative others had obviously gone to great lengths to get into the masquerade spirit. He wasn't horribly familiar with that many of Nachton's reisdents yet, but here and there he spied something familiar, a flash of an eye, a familiar scent... the city was never dull, and Xeph enjoyed it a great deal. Particularly when there was a perfect getaway from it right in his own backyard.

Leaning back on the bar, beer in hand, Xeph contented himself with being a casual observer for a little while.
Amberelle DeEspionne 17 years ago
Thank you, she replied with a smile when Tobi complimented her name. Amby tried not to giggle at the confused look he gave his sister. She played the madness of Dru very wall, almost eerily so the young vampire decided.

You know Tavi.. I think I have to go with your brother on this one. Not that I've met any, 'Liar!' her inner voice cried with a chuckle, but back when I lived in N'awlins we had plenty of things that went bump in the night and.. The blonde shrugged. I've found these type of things to be much more mundane than you might think.

Their waitress materialized, a tray of drinks in hand. First she set a large glass of white wine in front of Amberelle, followed by the siblings' requested refreshments. The large mug of Guiness got a bemused smile from the Anantya.

Ahhh! Merci, Stephanie. You can put theirs, she motioned to the duo seated with her, on my tab. So Tobi, you're a Guiness man? Not what I would have pictured.. She winked at him and took a sip of her wine.
Pakpao 17 years ago
The parade was nice but it was also getting chilly, yes she was slightly thin blooded. There was a good vampire joke in there somewhere, Pak was certain of it but she didn’t dwell on it. Deciding she had enough she subtly needled Kem in the ribs. Neither club held any real appeal but given the three of them Club E seemed the lesser of the evils presented, hopefully it wasn’t non-smoking. She’d never been in and didn’t know.

“Come on I’ve got to get in or you’re going to have to explain to MARI why I’m blue, you know she’ll ask.”

Seeing the others were willing to be torn from the parade she lead the way into the club. It was more crowded than Pak had anticipated… hoped. She’d hoped the new strip club would get all the attention and they could be left to their own devices, but apparently not. Oh well.

Swiping irritably at her foxtail she immediately began looking for a chair, or better yet a person, to tangle the jesses up on. She had to have some fun after all.

“I cannot believe you talked me into this.”

((OOC... permission to move Kem and Aishe into the thread))
Aishe 17 years ago
Aishe, tied pleasantly to Kem, was having fun making her bells jingle merrily every time she moved her right foot. Therefore it mattered little to her whether they were inside or outside; simple mind simple pleasures, she supposed. She was more than content to follow Pak into Club E, which looked pretty much the same as the last time she'd been in it. Perhaps even more crowded now, it took ehr a few minutes to spot a booth that wasn't occupied and she pointed it out to Pak.

The parade had been all right; for her, she was discovering that she was growing increasingly nervous in large crowds. Aishe had very little control of her strange empathy. She knew for a fact that at the moment it only worked when she touched people and heard them speak, but she was also forewarned that her abilities would grow in strength with age, and that in the future she might see colorful shapes from farther away. The idea made her nervous; as it was, she had yet to accustom herself to seeing bursts of color around the heads of her friends. It wasn't even consistent when she was in contact with them... another symptom of being newly turned. The only constant she had was Kem, who she'd expressed her worries to and who was the biggest help thus far; his ability to send to her meant no sound came from his lips, and for the moment, no sound meant no strange colors. Aishe knew it would be different in the future but for now it was overwhelming and knowing that she could talk to Kem without jumping at sparklies was a relief and a welcome break.

She was the first to slide into the booth, avoiding contact with the people they slid through and around to get there. Kem managed to be between her and 'everyone else' almost constantly, and she wondered briefly if that was intentional or circumstantial... either way it was appreciated.

Finally gaining the security of the booth, Aishe offered Pak a little grin. "I didn't see anyone hog-tie you, or dangle your most beloved possessions over an open flame. It couldn't have been too difficult to get you out."
Kem`Raaisu 17 years ago
"You look good in blue," was Kem's response to Pak's grumbling. He himself was having a blast playing "dodge the passerby" while trying to simultaneously keep the leather tether between his arm and Aishe's leg from becoming entangled, and maneuvering himself between Aishe and the rest of the sea of humanity that seemed to have turned out for this occasion.

Equally distracting was the fact that, face it, much as he had hated it as a youth he was used to seeing his own hair standing out, stark silver-white in front of his face or over his shoulder. Every time it fell forward there was a brief moment of, "Oh right, it's black" which wouldn't have been too terrible except when combined with the jesses and the wierd dancing around, it was going to get him in trouble. Not to mention he was fairly certain Pak had behaved herself up until now, but if he were Pak he'd be looking for some way to tangle him up.

Even so... it was still a good night. Watching Pak swipe irritably at her fox-tail, Kem figured a little pre-emptive retaliation was all right, and moved it back in the way. He may as well... he had no faith at all in Pak's ability to get through the entire night without messing with some part of his or Aishe's costume.

Chuckling at Aishe as he slid into the booth next to her, he shrugged at Pak. "As I recall it didn't take too much convincing. Besides," he added, "if you're going to ride me for never going out, you have to expect it's going to come back at you. Friends don't let friends be hypocrites."
Pakpao 17 years ago
A booth, what a good idea. Pak slid into the other side of the booth glowering at Kem as she did so. That was uncalled for, but now she could legitimately say he started it. She gave a good tug on the jesses, mentally fixing on the portion closest to his wrist hoping to pull him over but not bother Aishe, yet.

Pak found she was slightly protective of Aishe, not to the degree Kem was she was certain, but she seemed to make Kem happy and Pak liked her besides. That, however, didn’t mean she wasn’t fair game.

Once situated she immediately began rummaging for her cloves and was promptly rewarded.

“I’m not a hypocrite. I’m still young enough I get to be a rebel.”

Lighting her cigarette, she was careful to exhale way from her companions.

“I just happen to be an anti social hypocrite.”

She casually studied Aishe wondering where she would fall in this dynamic. Certainly she could hold her own. There was no question of that but would it be two against one, in the best possible way of course. No, she doubted that.

“So how’s the new gig treating you?”
Octavia Emiliano 17 years ago
Tavi raised an eyebrow at the woman seated across from her. What the hell was she saying?

"You haven't met any pigs?...or vampires?"Â?

Looking out at the sea of people on the dance floor, she turned her head slowly back to Amberelle.

"I am pretty certain there are both out there somewhere if you'd like to meet some. We can go see what we can find."Â?

The things that go bump in the night sweat? Was she serious? Nah, that seemed unlikely. Tavi leaned back and took another sip of her drink. Emotional vampires were plentiful and likely they did sweat so there you are....mundane creatures of the night...so to speak. She supposed they looked young enough to need a life lesson on those kinds of relationships. Course Tobi might be wanting more in the way of instruction by example. It was hard for her to tell; he clammed up and became a bit of the shy dork around pretty women. Kinda cute really. He just needed a topic that made him start thinking of the conversation and not so much who he was having it with for him to really shine.

Shame there just wasn't much way to bring out the latest version of Halo or ...well, geeking about horror movie might actually be a topic they could swing in their current guise.
Aishe 17 years ago
Aishe watched with something between amusement and wariness as Pak's tail tangled itself around her ankle. Kem was fairly circumspect when using telekinesis aroundher, but appaerntly all bets were off when Pak was involved. She would get used to it sooner or later. Strangely though, she found herself chuckling at their antics instead of being a little creeped out by them. She did wince when Pak (well, she assumed it was Pak because she couldn't see the logic behind it otherwise) apparently gave a good hard tug on Kem's left wrist, bringing it cracking down on the table. That might have been unintentional, but she hadn't seen these two goof off yet enough to tell.

Just in case she ended up being on the line, she turned sideways in the booth and swung her legs up onto Kem's lap. Unless Pak somehow managed to wrap the jesses around her leg or Kem's wrist without one of them noticing, that avenue was a dead end. She offered Pak a little smile, half mischief, half apology.

"The gig is great so far. Everything I expected." She held her arms out in front of her. "I haven't even lost my tan."
Kem`Raaisu 17 years ago
Holy... that was going to earn Pak a good trip later on. Kem rubbed the side of his wrist and favored his pal with a glance that left no doubt as to whether payback would be coming or not. The tug had been at the leather line on his arm, but he hadn't been expecting it so his arm had simply gone with it. He considered playing with her scarf, but he didn't want to upset her with anything around her neck. There was precious little else he could mess with aside from her tail, and she'd be expecting that, so he just let it be.

Then Aishe swung her legs up over his, the very picture of relaxation she didn't feel, and he nearly jumped out of the booth in surprise for a split second before coming to his senses and catching her ankles to hold her legs in place. Seeing the look she gave Pak and understanding her motivation, he gathered up the jesses and kept a careful eye on them.

There was almost nothing for him to say, but it suited him fine. He, in turn, stretched out his long legs and rested his heels on the booth seat next to Pak, effectively blocking her in. Glancing at Aishe's outstretched arms he laughed softly at the foolishness the night seemed to have brought upon them.

"I think you've got a few hundred years to go before there's any real worry," he said. Ironically, while he wasn't even remotely pale-skinned, he was the lightest person at the table. He was a fair olive shade, obviously tanned but lightly so. Aishe, her skin a perfect mocha, was probably darker than both he and Pak put together. "At least you won't have to consider a tan line."

Then he raised his eyebrows quizzically. "You don't... do you?"
Serial Killer 17 years ago
Jeremy Harrison ran his manicured hand over his slicked back, brown hair. The club was buzzing with lovely new people. Lovely, lovely. His eyes wandered around the large room, noting a tall blond, a very tall man, a brunette and another with beautiful bronze skin. Nice little mix of everything that was just lovely. Yes, lovely, lovely.

With a happy sigh, Jeremy moved into the room and approached the bar. It was time to watch.
