1. Describe your character's personality Quiet, watchful, innocent but wise. Mai has been an immortal for far longer than she was ever alive. She hardly remembers being human and has been mostly solitary from the age of six, living in her own dark world. She,therefore, has no sense of human morals or sense of society. Mai does what Mai does for her own reasons. Merciful at one time and ruthless the next.

2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger (I.E. typical dress, way they carry themselves etc.) Mai tends to wear a White kimono (sometimes patterned or with accents of red or black) many times she also wears a white blindfold. She appears to be innocent at some times and other times strangely watchful. Her ways are her own and do not flow well with society so she tends to stand out where ever she is.

Mai fears the destruction of her clan and its ways. She has seen her human civilization change and become something else and she fears the changing of Anantya or its complete distruction more than anything else. If she fears physical things like sunlight or fire, Mai doesn't show it.

7. What is your character's strengths and weaknesses? Mai's greatest strength is her different way of viewing things, her lack of social convention tends to let her get straight to the heart of the matter. Her greatest weakness is her inability to change and her fear of it.

Personal History
Mai was born in a small village to a poor man named Koto and a his wife, Kashuko. The vague memories of this time where of music and peace. Kashuko died of a disease when Mai was 4 and Koto found it difficult to feed them both. Malnutrition and childhood disease caused blindness in Mai and by the age of 6 all she saw was a brightness from time to time. Still being young, Mai adapted to her now sightless world very well. She carred a small staff and used it to find her way in unfamiliar places. Still a curious child, she would wander off upon hearing some interesting sound or smelling a strange scent. One day she returned to her father carrying a young injured Stoat. While there was very little food to spare, Mai feed the stoat part of her own food. She named him Fajikun. Faji never strayed far from Mai and began bringing her presents of rabbits, birds and other small animals. Mai learned to follow the sound of Faji and eventually was even able to hunt on her own, hearing the sound of the animals and smelling their scent. They brought home their prizes and life began to get better for Mai and her father.
That was until a war between two opposing warlords spilled into their village. Her father was killed during the battle and Faji was injured trying to protect Mai. She caught the attention of the warlord himself when he saw a blind child standing over an injured animal swinging a staff to fend off his men. Impressed with her valour, the warlord, Kenjin decided to spare her life and her family. Learning that she had no more family, Kenjin took her into his own home as a servant to his wife, Miyo. Mei found tenderness and love from Miyo and even Kenjin. They treated her very well. Faji had survived once more and the two were seen going about various duties throughout Kenjin's household. When Mai was 16 another warlord attacked Kenjin's main village and took over his home. Kenjin was killed in the fighting, the conquering leader sent two soldiers to bring Miyo to him. Miyo did not go quietly, knowing her husband already dead, she fought the two men, Faji and Mai alongside her. Faji bite one of the soldiers on the ankle and the man turned and stabbed the stoat. Hearing her friend's final cry, Mai lept on the man and stabbed him with a sharp tool. ( The only weapon she found when they heard the battle going on outside ) Miyo yelled for Mai to run and then she too fell silent. Mai fled the house but did not leave the grounds. Finding a hiding place, she waited until nightfall. Then the sightless girl crept back into the house, her bloody instrument in hand. The route was well known to her and the lack of light did not hinder her. Entering the chambers of her former master, Mai stood over the sleeping form, without remorse she plunged the dagger into the conquering hero's chest. She attacked anyone she came across, catching a few by surprise before she was overwhelmed and caught. She was brought before the Warlord, only for her captors to find him dead. Arguments began on who now had the right to lead. Mai was tied and thrown into a room until a leader was chosen.
The following night she was visited by a strange man, the scent of Fuji flowers surrounded him. He made her an immortal creature that night and set her free. He asked in return that she no longer seek revenge against those that would rise to power.
Mai's milk white eyes changed upon her creation to reveal irises once more but they remained white. It is debated whether she can truly see or still remains blind.

Odd Questions
(To help define your character)
1. A stranger at a bar offers your character a drink, what is a typical response? Mai stared at the stranger blankly. Taking the glass, she sniffed its contents before putting it back on the table and turning away.
2. Your character finds a lost child alone on the streets. What do they do? Mai might watch the child a while to measure its character, at other times she might pass it up without realizing this was not normal in society.
3. A barfight erupts in the nightclub your character is in, what do they do? Assuming there was no one to protect of her clan then Mai might watch the fight take place. She'd defend herself if anyone tried to harm her as a simple matter of course and then go back to watching.
4.What animal does your character most identify with? The Stoat.

About the Stoat (Also called Ermine)

Habitat: woods, farmland, uplands, moorlands, marshes, sand dunes and hedgerows
Description: slim-bodied, with short, black-tipped tail. Chestnut brown on top with a sharp division separating the underparts. Coat turns pure white (except for black tip to tail) in cold northern regions
Territory. The stoat is active by day or night but when it does rest, it does so in a hollow tree, a rock crevice, under a log or stone wall, or a burrow from one of its prey victims. Around the den, it holds a territory the size of which depends on the type of habitat and the abundance of prey. In Europe this is normally between 2,000 - 4,000 sq. m, but in Russia, a more barren type of habitat, it may be up to 10,000 sq m.
Hunting and food. The alert, inquisitive stoat is one of the fiercest of predators. It can move fast, maybe up to 20 miles an hour, bounding over the ground. Almost any type of country habitat may be inhabited by stoats, but they usually prefer an area with good cover, and on farmland will keep to walls, hedges or fences where possible.
The stoat is a true carnivore, although it will eat birds' eggs, and feeds mainly on small mammals such as rabbits, hares, mice, voles and shrews - whatever is readily available in its territory. Birds are also eaten, and when other prey is scarce, it will even eat earthworms, large insects and carrion (dead animals).
The stoat's eyesight is quite poor, and it tracks down its prey by scent, being able to locate a victim from a great distance. It follows a trail relentlessly, and once in pursuit, the prey has little chance of escape. The victim is killed by pouncing on it and biting deeply into the back of the neck near the base of the skull.
A stoat will often perform strange antics as part of its hunting strategy. It will approach a group of birds or rabbits and then jump around, pretending to ignore the animals who are attracted to this odd performance and edge nearer to get a better look! The stoat then suddenly pounces on the nearest member of its audience!
