Description or name of your creator:
Yuki was the younger sister of the legendary onmyoji, Abe no Seimei, whose position as advisor to the emperor was constantly being challenged.

In 944 AD, after a particularly embarrassing defeat before the Emperor, Seimei's most notorious rival, Ashiya Doman began conspiring with Minamoto no Toshihiko, a vampire masquerading as an onryou (vengeful ghost), to humiliate and dishonor Seimei. For his part in their scheme, Toshihiko, as violently cruel as he was handsome, had been promised the girl to do with as he would without fear of reprisal, so long as the following morning's light found her pale eyes lifeless.

Doman would predict Yuki's unfortunate demise to the Emperor alone, which Toshihiko would then implement, leaving Doman's hands clean and his alibi intact. The great Seimei who hadn't even forseen his own flesh and blood's fate would lose face before the Emperor and thereby lose his seat as most favored onmyoji.

Dusk of the foretold night of reckoning arrived along with Toshihiko to Yuki's doorstep. Though she fought him viciously, the diminutive nearly sightless girl, was for Toshihiko, impossibly easy to take. This lack of a challenge would later fuel his viciousness with her.

Arriving at home well past midnight with his mentor, Kamo no Tadayuki, Seimei was horrified to find his home torn to pieces and his sister missing. Unbeknownst to any save Seimei himself, Tadayuki stalked the nights as Toshihiko did, and though a truly gifted onmyoji in his own right, it was partially through Tadayuki's gifts and loyalties that Seimei was able to maintain his status as head onmyoji.

Tadayuki's hands caressed over various objects, reading the messages contained within the visions they created in his mind's eye, ultimately stopping on a torn piece of silk from her kimono, forgotten amongst the rubble. He wrapped it within his hand, brought his first two fingers to his lips and began to whisper across them, focusing the very fiber of his being on tracking its owner. Following the visions, Tadayuki found them sequestered away in a small house several miles outside the city walls, where Toshihiko was maliciously carrying out his malevolent deeds.

By the time they arrived, Yuki's tiny form lay broken and battered in pools of her own blood, her nearly lifeless eyes frozen with the pain and horror she'd suffered at Toshihiko's hands.

Time stood still for Seimei as his years of training with Tadayuki drove him into action, half a step behind his mentor. Seimei's hands moved as fast as the wind, balls of fire bursting to life* at Toshihiko's feet, driving the vampire back towards Tadayuki even as he drew his sword forth. Toshihiko, incensed by the interruption to his fun, dove at Tadayuki completely unprepared to face the master swordsman and elder vampire before him. For Toshihiko, it was over before it began, for Seimei, he'd turned his attentions to Yuki as soon as the two vampires had begun to dance.

Her tortured body shuddered in pain as soon as he'd touched it, he drew his fingers to his lips and began to whisper prayers across them. His voice danced on the edges of her thoughts.

"He said he would make me scream your name..." Her voice flittered through the cold night air, nearly lost beneath the echoing battle. "I never did... Seimei..."

Toshihiko's head hit the floor as Seimei's name left Yuki's lips for what he was sure was the last time he'd ever hear her speak.

"I will give to her that which I once offered you." The voice of his mentor met the falling of his hand onto his shoulder. "Go now, her time is fleeting, we will join you this evening to speak with the Emperor."

Seimei nodded numbly as he draped his own tunic over her torn body and touched her cheek before rising. His mentor didn't need to promise that she'd be alright, or that for as long as he held breath, she would be taken care of, between them it was simply so.

Later that evening, a seemingly unharmed Yuki did indeed arrive with Tadayuki, much to the shocked horror of Doman, who once again found himself humiliated before the Emperor - this time for the last time.

Yuki has absolutely no recollection of the events that took place the evening of her embrace, and therefore never speaks of it or her maker.

*It should be noted that Abe no Seimei possesses no special "magical powers" but utilized simple science and what would now be considered "parlor tricks" that were common among onmyoji of the time.

Personal Questions
Describe your character's personality:
Due to her maker's desire to keep her as she was in her human life, Yuki has been raised with strong beliefs in Taoism, believing that the balance of light and darkness must be kept in constant motion. Surrounded by the cruelty of life, Yuki's personality is most often quiet, pure, and remarkably innocent. There are times, however, when she suffers extreme shifts in this nature and appears cold and viciously cruel.
Describe how your character would appear to a stranger:
In modern times, Yuki has retained her modesty and gentle style, dressing most often in clothes which cover her completely, yet outline her form. Almost never would one see her revealing her flesh in a public place. Any makeup she wears is minimalistic at best. Conscientious of her "lazy eye", her long flowing hair is most often allowed to hang loosely in order to cover her left eye. On very rare occassions, you may catch her dressed in one of her ancient kimonos wearing the makeup of the time.
What does your character like?
She truly enjoyed her lifetimes as a geisha and a joshigun, and although those lives are long since past, she practices the skills she aquired then with great voracity and passion.
Dislike?
Yuki has a strong dislike of those who would use their gifts, human, vampiric or otherwise, for their own personal gains.
What are your fears?
Fear of Dishonor: This is a cultural fear that has only grown stronger over the centuries and affects everything she does. Pyrophobia (Fear of Fire/Burning): Always photophobic, even as a child, this fear was an extension of that which developed after her making. Virginitiphobia (Fear of Being Raped): Though she doesn't remember the night of her making, her subconscious has deeply instilled this fear in Yuki.
What are your character's strengths and weaknesses?
Yuki follows not only the Three Jewels of Taoism (humility, moderation, compassion), but the Seven Virtues of Bushido (compassion, sincerity, loyalty, honor, valor, courtesy, and rectitude).
Yuki suffers from extreme perfectionism, and as a result will practice obsessively over anything she may be required to do. This perfectionism has bloosomed into a deep seeded intolerance for those that are sloppy or lazy in anything that they do, which in turn has lead over the centuries to an intolerance of those that can not or will not take personal responsibility for their actions.
Hobbies & Skills:
Speaks fluent Japanese, Chinese (Taiwanese, Mandarin, and Cantonese dialects), French, and English; Ikebana, Origami, Gifted Koto & Shamisen player, Iaido, Tai Chi Chaun, Qi Gong, Wu-Dan
Abilities:
Shapeshifting (white fox), Perception, Ethereal, Gliding
Flaws:
Extremely Pale Skin, Psychotic (Delusional), Very Sensitive to Light (Photophobic)
Cosmetic Traits:
Yuki was born an oculocutaneous albino (her eyes, skin and hair are all lacking in pigmentation) and as a result suffers from nystagmus (occasional involuntary rapid shifting of her eyes back and forth, as if reading pages of an unseen book), and strabismus (inability to move both eyes at the same time, sometimes called "lazy eye"). Though she is not blind, she does often appear to be so as her eyes will usually remain transfixed straight ahead of her, giving her a hollow almost vacant gaze. She also suffered from photophobia (sensitivity to light) even before her turning.
Quirks and Habits worthy of mention:
Yuki is in possession of a small silver ball which, despite its solid appearance, makes a soft chiming noise when it moves. She keeps it with her at all times, wearing it in different places, sometimes in her hair, or on her wrist, but most often on a chain around her neck and concealed within her clothing. This hoshi no tama (star ball), she will protect with complete ferocity, believing that it not only contains a piece of her "magic", and therefore her ability to change in and out of fox form, but that should another take possession of it, they would then take possession of her.

For reasons which she does not understand, Yuki often gravitates towards items from her past, despite her Taoist belief in living only in the present.
Personal History:
Yuki was born in a time of great peace and prosperity in Japan, during a time when there was a strong belief in that which was magical and spiritual. It was long rumored that her mother, Kuzunoha was a kitsune, or fox spirit. Her brother, Abe no Seimei, who would become an onmyoji of legends, was believed to have acquired his "gifts" through his mother's blood. Yuki, named for the goddess of snow and winter, Yuki-onna, was no exception. Her pale nature lead those around her to believe she'd been touched by the goddess of her namesake prior to her birth, and that she would grow to be a spirit of great power and beauty as a result.

Though her albinism caused her great difficulties with sight, her other senses grew over the years to compensate for any deficiencies she may have otherwise suffered. Her mother, fearing for her as she did her son that without training their powers would cause them to become evil, allowed her to study under the great onmyoji, Kamo no Tadayuki, along with her brother, Seimei.

Ravenous in her consumption of knowledge, her quick wit and easy smile won the hearts of many, and the ire of her brother's most noted rival, Ashiya Doman who plotted her dishonor and death in order to discredit her brother's name, and gain the Emperor's favor.

Yuki remembers nothing of the night she was taken and forever changed by the circumstances of her life, and death. Tadayuki kept to his unspoken promise, watching over Yuki, training her during the nights, though he never told her what she'd become. Instead, not wanting to see her gentle innocence destroyed by her dark nature, her mentor and maker continued to foster her beliefs that she was a kitsune (fox spirit) - teaching her over the years, to switch in and out of her fox form, and how to feed her new dark hungers.

Eventually the time came for a normal lifetime to have surpassed her. Tadayuki taught her how cover her tracks and move to a new life amongst humans. Tadayuki stayed with her, from one lifetime to the next, watching over her, though she never saw him again. In each new world, she was granted a new mentor to teach her new sets of skills and abilities, all of it designed to reinforce her delusions and obscure the truth of her nature from her.

Even in modern times, Yuki truly believes herself to be kitsune**. As her perceptions of the world around her grew stronger, so did her delusions. Her deeply Taoist beliefs, held onto since her childhood, have fostered in her the ability to see the shifting tides between light and dark - a tidal shift she believes she is meant to keep in motion. To this end, Yuki's personality can have severe shifts, at times she remains innocent and pure, and others truly vicious and cruel, though most often the shifts are quiet and subtle and easily missed by those not familiar with her.

**It should be noted that Tadayuki's pack were the reasons for the belief by humans in kitsune over the centuries and were well known to the upper echelon of those of Anantya at the time (those alive prior to 1000 AD). Yuki was taught of vampires during her early training as an onmyoji, and her basic belief is that those of the clan Anantya are her strongest allies and therefore should never be harmed through action or inaction by her. In her time, clan loyalties extended beyond blood (or in this case, race) and was a matter of honor to belong to one - so she believes herself to be in an honorable sense part of this clan though she doesn't believe or understand her own vampirism.
