It takes time.

((Open to any one who needs/wants to talk with Ginnie))

After the raid Ginnie had limped into her apartment, heavily supported by Alec, the sip from the Merc was enough to hold her over, but she needed to sleep. Alec had helped her de-armor and undress. He then bandaged the large wound on her leg that hadn't closed yet, so that she didn't get blood on the sheets and helped her crawl into bed.

She'd woken up before him and limped her way through a shower and kissed his sleeping face before heading out to hunt, because hunting was most important at the moment. Her leg felt like so much meat. The wounds had closed, but she was just too young to recover from three bullets shredding muscle, tendons and chipping bone with out feeding heavily afterwards. Her shoulder ached and she knew there were some very ugly mostly healed bruised on her chest and back from the eight or so bullets she'd taken in the vest.

Ginnie had just about made it to the parking garage when the Merc she'd drunk from during the raid stopped her.

"Oh, hey. How are you?"

He looked shaken, no he looked more like a druggie that needed a fix, bad.

"Uh, Miss Ginnie, uh I need to ask you something."

Ginnie wrinkled her brow at him, what in the name of Saint Peter was wrong with this man. 'Oh shit, I...well...well...shit.'

"Sure, sport. What's up?"

"It's just well, um. Do you think? Um, do you think you could, well you could do that again?"

He was shifting from foot to foot, looking all the world like a school boy in trouble for loosing his milk money. She felt bad for him, it was her fault.

"Sure, I can. Brace yourself."

"Here? Now? We...we're in public."

He looked a bit shocked, but mostly excited that she'd said yes. Ginnie looked up and down the hall.

"Who's going to see us, sport? Carol? She has better porn stuffed in the back of her desk than watching one vampire fed off another. Look, the only thing I'm going to get out of this is blood and an out from hunting. You on the other hand get the euphoria. So, brace yourself."

He had just enough time to plant his feet when Ginnie took a standing jump, landing with her legs around his waist and her hands on his shoulders. Lucky for him natural instinct put his hands on her ass, to keep him and her balanced. Well, it was the least she could do, she was going to make him embarrass himself, he could cop a feel of her ass.

She gently pushed his head to the side, brushed hair from his neck, bared her fangs, and slid the deep into the pulsing vein on his neck.

"Ungh, oh God."

Ginnie had to suppress a giggle, but the hot copper filling her mouth, did that well enough. She drank deeply from him, clinging tightly as his body convulsed with orgasm and he began to slide down the wall. When he landed with a light bump, Ginnie pulled back, licking the blood from his neck and watching her mark close before her eyes.

She moved back and crouched between his spread legs. she taped his cheek with her finger tips until his glassy eyes met hers.

"Go feed, feed well. I took a lot from you and you need to replace it. But make sure you change your pants first. Alright?"

Her tone was gentle, low and husky. Feeding always did that to her voice, but feeding from a vampire amplified it. He nodded slowly and as Ginnie started to rise he grabbed her hand.

"Thanks."

"Sure thing, sport." She started to walk away and he tugged on her held hand.

"Will you do it again?"

Ginnie sighed and returned to the crouch between his knees.

"Make damn sure this is what you want. If it is find me in three days time. I won't need to feed again until then. But you need to do some soul searching friend, because I will not be your fix. Do you understand that?"

He nodded at her, lost in the high. She patted his cheek softly, stood and walked away.

"Damn."

She left the Domicile, got in her car and drove like the devil himself was after her, sliding into her space at Duibne, flinging parking garage litter at the cars around her. She stomped into her lab, keyed herself in and started barking orders at the pencil necks that were still cataloging the remains of the arsenal for the raid.
She threw on a lab coat over her black jeans and purple t-shirt with a bug-eye frog, and stalked across the lab to grab up supplies.

Ginnie planted herself at the assembly table, and began to make blanks for C4 explosives replacing the dozens she'd used to take down a man that had been in league with her boss. This whole thing stunk. Well at least she knew it wasn't her fault, Ellis had died. 'Ellis was dead, wasn't she?'

It was going to take time to rebuild what she'd lost and she had nothing, but.

((Again feel free to invade her lab, she needs the company.))

The post raid doctoring of Ginnie had been...sobering. He'd assumed that vampires would be more...invulnerable...later on. It wasn't so much a gain of invulnerability as a gain in regeneration. That was important to know. Still, he wished that Ellis dying, Simon nearly dying and Ginnie requiring his medical knowledge had not been the price of the lesson.

Pretending to be strong and dependable and heroic and supporting while Ginnie bled all over and needed taping up was the hardest thing he'd ever done. After she had passed out, he went to his office, calmly, saying hello to the one person he'd passed, went directly into the bathroom and threw up. After sitting for a spell in the bathtub, he'd figured freaking out over the fact that his people were vulnerable was about the most useless thing he could be doing with his time. He showered up, worked over one of the new climbing rigs that he'd designed and then went back to his home.

Home. He'd climbed into bed as silently as a shadow, as usual. The initial adrenaline long gone, as well as the panic, his morbid curiosity had kicked in. Lifting the blanket, he peered at Ginnie's bare chest, but for a much different reason than usual. There was still pooling showing on her chest, but the bulk of the impact damage had faded. It was mostly just surface discoloration, and that would fade by this time tomorrow, most likely. He wanted to look at her leg, but she was resting well...and curiosity wasn't a good enough reason to disturb her.

One of the prices of eternity is patience. He remembered someone saying that to him...he wished he could remember who.

Waking alone, he made some decisions about his day - a calculator for Kyle and something to kill the pain and some brain cells, a visit to Simon and then a feed. Rolling out of bed, he decided to get started. He'd catch up with Ginnie later, as usual.

((ooc: Alec out))

She had spent hours making the little deck of cards shaped blanks. She had remained hunched over her work table, grunting and giving monosyllabic answers to any question posed her. It was only when one of the geeks dropped a glass beaker full of acid, that she came out of her funk.

"God Damn it, Ryan!" She pulled the spill kit off the wall, donned the protective gloves and poured the basic compound that would neutralize the spill and make it safe to clean up. That didn't save the floor in that spot. It would have to be replaced, and she was going to make the little goober do it himself. Normally she took the fall out for her staff, as she could handle Carol and Mr. Steyan and Accounting better than they, but this time, he was so going to listen to the shit.

She finished the clean up, putting everything into the protective bag and tossing it into the chute that lead to an incinerator for hazardous materials. She glared at him, and opened the second drawer of her filing cabinet. She pulled out the appropriate papers and shoved them at him.

"Write the report, the request for clean up and the procurement of a replacement for what you lost. You have exactly one hour to be in accounting asking them not to skin you alive. Do not come back to this lab until you have the PD and a shipping date."

He nodded quickly and ran from the lab. Ginnie growled at his back and decided that she needed some dangerous work to take her mind off of everything, so she chose making tear gas bombs. She had been working on a formula that would give the initial effects of regular tear gas, flowing tears, slight cough, and the inability to open the eyes, and occasionally vomiting. However when the gas was fully aspirated, it would travel to the brain and render the breather unconscious. So far trails had been successful and she had begun replacing the gas for regular CS.

She spent several hours placing the gas into the shells, when she was disturbed to be told that Simon had called a meeting. She grunted acknowledgement and went back to work. She had finished the shells that she had and took off her clean suit and instructed one of the staff to put the bombs away. That had been another mistake for her.

Somehow, the girl managed to arm and then drop one of the bombs. They did not explode, but instead spun in a circle dispersing their gas. Then entire lab was out with in moments, including Ginnie. She woke first being the oldest vampire of the three that were there and she came to mad as a wet hornet. Disgusted, she looked at the time. Realizing it was close to the meeting time she drove home to decam., before heading to see what Simon had to say.

((Ginnie out, lock up please.))
