Starting a new day ((lock up please))

Wren woke to a single ray of sun light falling right across her eyes. Moaning she turned over and rubbed at her eyebrows.

"Note to self; do not drink an entire bottle of wine all by yourself." She mumbled into the pillow. After her spa day she'd come back to her hotel room and indulged in a movie marathon, a bottle of wine and delivered chinese food. Wren looked up at the little digital clock by the bed and groaned. 8:45 was not exactly what she called a good time to get up.

Rolling over with thoughts of going back to sleep, she remembered that she wanted to take a bus or something to several towns over and call her mom, her lawyer, and her boss. Moaning again, she pushed her way out of the tangled sheets and stumbled to the bathroom.

She turned on the hot water and rummaged in her make up case for a bottle of tylenol. She found the pills and swallowed two with a handful of water. She really did know better, but sometimes you just needed to drown your thoughts in really good Merlot.

Wren slipped off the little silk shorts and matching top that had been a gift from a fellow stripper on her last birthday, and stepped into the gloriously hot water, letting the heat and steam clear the cobwebs from her head. Twenty minutes later had her wrapped in two towels, one around her body tucked between her breasts and the other wrapped around her head, and applying lotion to her skin. Her soap and lotion were both tinged with subtle lavender, it was both calming and feminine, something that worked well in her line of work and she was kept from needing to wear perfume.

She pulled on a pair of low rise blue jeans, a thick green sweater. and her sturdy boots. Snow was falling lightly outside her window and she didn't want to slip and fall on her ass in her more stylish but candy-assed boots. She ran a comb through her still damp hair and pulled it up into a pony tail and jammed a hat down on her head. She grabbed her purse and headed out the door.

She stopped at the front desk and asked directions to the bus station, lucky for her it was with in walking distance.
