Late night activities (Attn:Aishe Cont'd from Strip)

He wasn't too familiar with the Nachton streets. Even with Aishe's directions he was taking longer than he cared to.He had made a couple maneuvers to warrant a few other drivers to flash him that signal they seemed so fond of.

"Ah well, fuck them" Apollyon thought to himself as he neared the intersection. He only hoped he didn't keep his friend waiting long.

Fallon 18 years ago
Watching as Cyrus quickly got the hang of the mechanics, Fallon was going to answer his question but got sidetracked by having to reach for the frisbee herself...which she caught, barely.

"Why do people do this again?"

"Socialization? It's when people get together and interact?"

She was teasing him, and hoped he could sense it, since it was too dark to really read her expression well.

"Though you seem quite adept at this...are you sure you're not hustling me?"

She really wished it was daylight, so she could see her game companions. However, that was never to be again, so there was really no reason for her to dwell on it. It just unnerved her some, to not really know who she was 'interacting' with.

Since the other girl of the party, hadn't had a recent turn, Fallon chose her as the next target. Whether or not she could throw it accurately, even after demonstrating how it was done, remained to be seen.

"And here's one to the other double X of the group." Which she said as a friendly greeting.
Aishe 18 years ago
Aishe cheered as the frisbee came her way, jumping a bit to catch it. It wasn't far off at all though; the catch was a simple one. She waved the frisbee in the air by way of welcome.

"I'm Aishe Nevrat. Glad to meet you both. Come on over and join the fun!"

Turning back to Peter, she gave him a mischievous grin. "Dr Jones wouldn't know how to take care of an artifact if his life depended on it. He gives us real archaeologists a bad rep!"

That said, she gave a flick of her wrist and let fly the frisbee, a quick low toss, to Peter. She'd been aiming to have him scramble for it, but he was uncannily agile and she didn't see it happening.

The nearly 400 pound man moved with the grace and speed of a jungle cat. Aishe had thrown the frisbee way to his left and quite a few feet over his head. He took off and quickly gained on the flying disc, His powerful legs broke gravity's hold on him as he thrust into the air, and caught the frisbee. But there was one thing he forgot to do...... Look where he was landing. He had blindly followed the frisbee not really paying attention to where he was going. And with his leap, he had gone off of the beach and was now falling chest first onto sidewalk.

"Oh boy" he said to himself as he saw the incident about to happen.well there was something he could do to avoid possible injury. His mind worked quickly to tilt his body, much like a falling piece in a game of Tetris. His legs caught him just in time, his knees bent and his weight resting on the balls on his feet. Apollyon stood up from his crouched position, a wide smile on his face.

"Whew! That was too close! and to Miss archaeologist over there. At least Doctor Jones can throw a frisbee ya freak! Incoming!"

He was pretty far away from the group, at least a good few hundred feet.Applying some power behind his throw this time he threw a perfect line drive for Aishe

(OOC: permission to have Aishe's aim skewed )
Aishe 18 years ago
Aishe felt her eyes grow wide as she watched the shiny disc zoom toward her with startling strength. She held both hands in front of her, catcher's mitt style, and gave an audible 'umph' as the frisbee smacked into them. Hopping back a foot or so, she panted a bit.

"All right, all right, you can keep your precious Indiana Jones on his pedestal!" she relented. In truth, the force of the throw had left her winded. Uncommonly strong. Hmph.

"I'll just let you get your balance back, hmm?"

With that she turned and lobbed the frisbee easily back toward Fallon and Cyrus.
Cyrus 18 years ago
Cyrus reached in front of Fallon and snatched the disk up lightly. Grinning he looked at the brunette beside him. Leaning over a bit he whispered in her ear. "I cheat."

Straightening up he smiled at Aishe. "Thanks for letting us join."

With a flick of his wrist he sent it zooming towards Darius. He nudged it toward the sand just as it looked like it would go straight towards his clanmate. No use letting him stand around.
Apollyon 18 years ago
He nodded at Cyrus as he caught the frisbee.

"So what brings you 2 out here on an evening such as this?"

He tossed the frisbee in the brunette's direction
Fallon 18 years ago
Still laughing from Cyrus' remark, Fallon had to jump or back up to catch the high flying toy. Fortunately she didn't need to jump too high.

"We just came from a wonderful walk around those beautiful gardens in town...and then...dinner."

Fallon felt queer discussing their foray into the vampiric feeding as casually as dinner at Denney's, but gave Cyrus a conspiratorial wink. She knew none of the others would be able to see from where they stood, and liked having this small 'inside joke' between them.

Before she tossed the frisbee back to Aishe, Fallon fleetingly wondered if any of the other three might also be vampires...obviously there were a lot more in Nachton than she might have ever considered before.

"Here's another one to you Aishe."
Aishe 18 years ago
Aishe made the catch, glad that she wasn't too terribly out of shape.

"Oh, the Vesper Gardens? I actually met Peter there a few weeks ago, when we were both brand new to the city. Lovely, aren't they?"

Giving a little skip, she whirled and sighted on Tristan.

"Wake up there!"

With a flourish of the hand she threw it to Tristan, tilting it a bit to get it to curve as it neared him.
Patrick Tristan O Mannon 18 years ago
Aishe's shout drew Tristan's attention back from Fallon, as he saw the direction the frisbee was headed, and ran like hell to catch it.

While the talk of 'gardens' didn't interest Tristan in the least, he had been quite alert watching the girls. Both seemed equally hot, in their own rights...even at that distance, and in the dark.

"So Peter, Aishe, and I are all new to Nachton...tell me you two are long time residents...? Otherwise, I'm going to start believing the city just popped up from middle earth recently. My sister included, I've yet to meet anyone who's been here longer than a couple months."

Not that he had met that many people yet, and for all he knew, this Mathias character might have lived here all his life. It just struck Tristan weird that out of four people he knew in Nachton...well six now...four were new.

The frisbee was sent flying back towards Cyrus, with a flick of the wrist, and quite a spin.
Cyrus 18 years ago
Reaching his hand over his head slighly he guided the disk to it easily. He wondered why people really played this game. He supposed they simply could not direct the disk mentally and thus ended up frolicking all about. With a mental shrug he chalked it up to exercise and left it at that.

"I have been here several months. I have a home here and another in China that I split time between. Trust me, Nachton has been here a very long time. People just seem to gravitate here for a myriad of reasons."

Taking careful aim he flung the disk towards Aishe, resisting the urge to help it along. Unfortunately it wobbled and swerved wildly. Apparently there was more skill involved than just flinging it he realized.
Aishe 18 years ago
Aishe had to run to catch the frisbee, for it left Cyrus' hand with a good deal of uncertainty. In fact, it hit the ground about five feet in front of her before she could catch it, even in spite of her athletic dive to try and dig it up from its demise. She reached out and hooked it with her fingers, lifting it from the sand, then brushed herself off with a laugh.

"It does seem like there are a lot of new folks in the city," she said in agreement with Tristan. "The night life, too, is unusual. But it's such fun and so unique. There's so much life in this city."

Well, unlife, she thought. Although she had trouble seeing vampires as 'undead.' She knew they classified themselves that way, but she'd been pondering the philosophical depths of life and death lately, much as she'd thought a great deal about things when she'd initially learned of Kem's nature. Aishe was starting to form her own opinion on the topic, and she had decided she couldn't classify her vampiric friends as anything but alive.

She'd have to let Artemis know at some point; he might be relieved to find out he wasn't a figment of anyone's imagination after all.

Realizing she was holding the game up, Aishe gave a rueful grin. "Sorry about that. Now who's woolgathering? here, try again Cyrus!"

With an easy flick, Aishe tossed the frisbee back to Cyrus, her aim much better this time than it had been for Peter a few moments before.
Cyrus 18 years ago
Cyrus easily caught the frisbee even without guiding it. Aishe had quite a handle on this game.

"Thank you, I shall do better this time."

That was what he got for not helping things along. Forget that, he would continue to cheat. He very carefully made the practice moves Fallon had shown him.

The dark made him want to shift to see better, but he resisted the idea. Perhaps if he and Fallon continued their walk along the shore he would find a moment to get sand in his paws.

"I guess as my first ever attempts at throwing one of these things, I havent done too badly." Cyrus said as he flung the disk a few helping nudges kept it aloft and somewhat straight. It looked like it was going to Tristan.
Patrick Tristan O Mannon 18 years ago
Alert to who had the frisbee now, Tristan stood with his hands on his knees, bent over as if waiting for a football to be hiked. Though he wasn't sure he had been the intended target, Cyrus did send the frisbee his way, and rather than run backwards into the surf to get it, he made a powerful leap upwards. He smiled as the plastic hit his fingertips, and he successfully stopped it from traveling further.

"You're doing great dude." Tristan said, supportively, but not really seeing the big deal. It was, after all, a common toy they were playing with.

"Now what is this I hear about 'nightlife'? Besides hanging out at the beach playing frisbee, that is. Where else might I find a little fun?"

He spun the frisbee in the air in front of him a few times, catching it easily, before deciding to throw it to Peter. He really wanted to throw it to Fallon, but to be fair, she had caught it since Peter had. He hoped he could get the phone numbers of these people before he left tonight. It was always good having a nice pool of people to contact when he wanted to get out and party.
Apollyon 18 years ago
Apollyon caught the frisbee smiling

Now what is this I hear about 'nightlife'? Besides hanging out at the beach playing frisbee, that is. Where else might I find a little fun?

"Ahh yes the nightlife.Well I've only been here for a month or so and I've moved from New York City. And believe me, not even the city that never sleeps can compare to the Nightlife you can find here.Nachton has Nightclubs, bars, taverns, even some of those goth, and sadomasochist establishments. Pretty much anything you're into, you can find a place to call "your favorite hangout".I personally don't enjoy terribly crowded surroundings. so if I feel like enjoying a night out, Im more inclined to go to a jazz joint or a place that has a great blues band.I haven't gone to any of the upscale joints just yet, but I suppose I will sometime when I get the inclination."

"What places have you checked out thus far?"

He flicked his wrist and watched the frisbee glide gracefully to Fallon.
Fallon 18 years ago
She was glad Peter, as well as the others, didn't try any tricky throws with her, she thought, as the frisbee floated into her hand. She wasn't really dressed for rolling around in the sand.

Glancing over at him, it tickled Fallon to no end to watch Cyrus in this surrounding. Though, in all honesty, she still barely knew him, her first impression was one of a man more...refined...and not inclined to throwing a frisbee, or doing anything so trivial that resulted in working up a sweat.

Seeing him now, almost childlike, was not only enlightening, but entertaining, as well.

"I guess as my first ever attempts at throwing one of these things, I haven't done too badly."

"You're doing fabulously, Cyrus. You must have an innate ability."

Hearing Tristan ask about nightlife, Fallon couldn't really comment on anything but the one club she'd driven by.

"The only places I've been to are a convenience store...the gardens...and the Piazza, which is a lovely place, but I don't think a hot bed for nightlife. I did drive by some club...Club Eternity, I think the sign said...but didn't go inside, so I'm afraid I'm not much help to you."

Maybe she should have told him she hadn't been here more than a few days...she hoped she didn't sound like a complete dud to the cute young man.

Flicking her wrist as she'd shown Cyrus, the frisbee sailed straight, and waist high across the sand towards Aishe.
Aishe 18 years ago
Aishe grabbed the frisbee and spun it around on her fingertip a few times.

"I'm even less help than you are Fallon, so don't worry. I have yet to find any one place; I was just going entirely on hearsay!"

She thought for a moment. "Unless you count the arcade. That was lots of fun!"

She spun the frisbee a bit too enthusiastically and it flew off her finger of its own accord, wobbling off in no definite direction except 'away from her.'
Apollyon 18 years ago
He watched the frisbee fling out of Aishe's hand and fly wildly toward the surf.He shook his head at her with a smile on his face.

"Bah!" Apollyon shrugged as he took off to catch the glowing disc. His feet made loud splashing noises as he walked into the oncoming waves. The Frisbee had landed now and was floating just a couple feet in front of him as he was about knee deep in the chilly water.Picking up the disc, he ran out of the water and back to the group.

"Alright Aishe, no more black tar herion for you before we decide to play frisbee!"

he flicked his wrist and sent the frisbee to his Clanmate, Cyrus.
Cyrus 18 years ago
Cyrus reached out as far as possible, without moving his body, to catch the damp disk. Upon inspecting it closer he gave it several good shakes.

"I prefer the House of Pain personally but I know its not to everyone's taste." His predatory grin was aimed at Fallon and he caught her eye and exagerated a biting motion.

Chuckling at his own immature behavior he tried to think up a few more places.
"We went to Flannigan's last night, which is a nice Irish Pub. My driver has spoken of several other places, I am sure if you have something in mind she probably has an answer."

With a flick of his wrist and a mental push he flung the disk towards Fallon who was not quite as far away as everyone else. The disk moved easily and evenly towards her.
Fallon 18 years ago
Only because he already had her attention, was Fallon prepared to catch the lightly tossed frisbee.

"Oh you're so right, Cyrus...how could I forget Flannigan's. They have a great selection of whiskeys, and it seems to be a favorite of the loud and bawdy. A great place to go if you have a bunch of friends too."

Feeling a bit chagrined at forgetting the very last place she'd been to, outside of the gardens, and Cyrus' hotel suite, Fallon shrugged with a slight giggle.

She also thought anyplace with the name 'House of Pain', would certainly be intriguing. Maybe she could visit it with Cyrus sometime. At his biting, she countered with a large kissing response. She was feeling almost lightheaded, and wondered if it was a combination of feeding, and her mental state...which was vastly improved over earlier.

Again considering Tristan to be a possible future diversion, she threw the frisbee back to him. But this time she put a very hard spin on it, and aimed for his chest. When she released the plastic disk she smiled as it made directly for its target.
