Candy from a Baby

Ginnie had spent the las two nights taking care of other goals. Her meeting with the O'Brians was very successful and she knew that they had corrected their wrongs by this very evening. She'd had to set up a very elaborate scheme in order to get at her mark, but she'd managed and had witnesses. In her business the right witnesses were a good thing.

That particular ring was right where it needed to be and now she had to go steal some stuff from Hillman. She had found his storage warehouse and careful recon, also known as an inside man, had proved he had a great deal of her property. Well that would be taken care of tonight.

She was, at the moment, squatting behind a stack of crates waiting for Alec's signal. They were taking both entrances at the same time. There were twelve guards, two at each entrance and the other eight scattered through out the warehouse. They checked in every five minutes via radio. That gave them three minutes to get in and incapacitate eight of the twelve before they were missed. The last four were guarding her stuff and would be dealt with when they arrived. Six merc waited for her signal to begin the extrication of her guns to a large unmarked van hidden in the alley.

Alec had strict instructions to head out after the guards were over taken and she hoped to hell he followed them, cause this fucker was going sky high when she was done. 'Shit like that happens when you store guns and ammunition in such a haphazard way.

Like a spider descending silently along a silken strand, Alec lowered himself behind guard number one as the victim completed his communication. With lighting quick reflexes, he wrapped his target's head in cloth and retracted the line on his belt, raising them from the ground. Sucking silently through the fabric, Alec drained the man of his consciousness and left him tied on the rafters of the warehouse. Radioing Ginnie, he stated

Sparrow's in and awaits Eagle's pleasure when the egg timer dings.

Three more in three minutes. Typically, he didn't enjoy this sort of operation, but the time constraint made him a bit more interested - the mild competition brought out the predator in him. He'd like to show Ginnie that he was also an efficient killer, as well as a sneaky bastard and cuddly form, as if it would somehow increase his market value.

Watching as the next guard cycled to his optimal kill point right on time, Alec leapt, steel heel glancing hard against the man's temple. Landing with a bit of a muffled thump, he certainly had felt the skull give way - this one wouldn't be getting back up. As a bit of insurance, Alec removed the man's hunting knife and inserted it into the owner's left eye. Swiftly moving to the next corner, Alec crouched down - this next one was the dodgy one. Gripping his tazers, he waited for the footsteps to be the right distance away - point blank. Pivoting quickly around the corner, Alec's blow landed before the man's gun was raised. As the charge contacted the man's face, the air left his lungs in a rush - unfortunately, the vocal cords were behind it as well - a bit louder than a normally spoken word, but not quite a shout.

Sparrow has a peeper.

Releasing the grip on the tazer, Alec grabbed the haft of the guard's submachinegun as he elbowed him in the throat. Well trained, the man did not release the gun, but also could not reach the safety under Alec's hand. Going to his belt, he pulled his combat knife. Alec reached to his own belt and tossed some powder in the man's eyes, who began to yell. Nothing like ground fiberglass and maple husk to ruin your day.

Clutching his face, the man reeled back. With a quick shot from his silenced sidearm, Alec ended the man's suffering. Skittering upward, he was aware of another approaching rival, coming in quick. Waiting again for the opportune moment, the man came around the corner to see the prone form of his ally. Sadly, he didn't see the arcing swing of Alec's leg in behind him from above, connecting with the base of his skull, dropping him on top of the pile.

He really wasn't made for all of this rough and tumble stuff. It certainly could have gone much worse if he'd not finished his peeper sooner...but with his time of 1:53, he was quite satisfied.

Sparrow has flown the course and is awaiting nest confirmation.

Sparrow's in and awaits Eagle's pleasure when the egg timer dings.

Ginnie slipped into her closest guards mind and made him feel like he needed to take a piss. He moved over to a potted plant, putting his back to her. She moved in behind number two and slit his throat, lowering him to the ground to prevent a thud. She wiped the blade on his jacket and sheathed it.

She sliped up behind the first guard and snapped his neck. She led him through his fall as well and reached to disarm him. 'Damn, that's just wrong.' She'd killed him mid-tinkle and the poor guy would have to be buried with his pecker in his hand. Shrugging she took his gun and tossed it into the trees, then turned to disarm her first victim.

She pushed open the door and moved inside she had used just over a minute to take care of one and two, she was a bit behind schedule, but would make it up here. She climbed on top of a stack of crates just inside the door, making it to the top as guard three came around the corner. As he passed under her, she used her new found skill to land silently behind him, and slit his throat and control his fall to prevent a thud.

Ginnie moved down and around the corner, and came face to face with number four. 'Shit.' Her foot flew up and crushed his nose, forcing him to drop his gun. She pulled her Browning with it's silencer and put a bullet through his forehead.

"The nest is empty, time to gather eggs."

She moved around a stack of crates and continued in toward the center of the warehouse. She made it to her perimeter point just as her ear piece beeped her three minutes in her ears. She crouched low in a shadow watching the guards. There was one at each corner of a very large gathering of black gun cases. She surprised a growl and waited for Alec's position confirmation.

Taking the roundabout way, Alec stopped ten yards from his mark. After turning this corner, he'd have direct line of sight on the final targets.

In position in five...four...three...

Striding up silently behind the guard he was approaching, Alec knew his blending was in effect...the guard opposite, who did not have a clear line of sight on him, hadn't so much as twitched when he came around the corner. Like taking candy from a baby. Stopping just beyond arm's length from his target, he awaited Ginnie's execution of the man opposite him before pulling the trigger under his finger, announcing his location. She'd be pissed if he jumped the gun and got himself shot.

...two...one... Ginnie stood from her shadow silenced weapons drawn. Guard A had his back to her and Guard B was just turning around. Pop-tzzzzzzpg went her left weapon, followed by the sickly sweet thawp of pullet piercing skin and skull, followed quickly by a second pop-tzzzzzpg and thunk. The two men fell to the floor in dar heaps almost as one. She holstered her left weapon and spun a slow circle, making sure the area was clear.

"Clear."

A moment later she heard Alec give his all clear and she pulled a small hand held com unit from her belt buckle. This was to insure that only she and Alec had been aware of what was happening on the inside.

"Eagle to Fox One, come in Fox One."

"Eagle this is Fox One, over."

"The hen has left the nest, time for a fox in the hen house."

"Roger that, Fox out."

Ginnie placed the com unit back in her belt and went around the stockpile of her weaponry, taking a quick inventory of what was in easy view. When she got to Alec She grinned at him.

"Nice work, slick." She gave him an affectionate pat on the arm and jogged her way to a staircase that led to two offices. She pulled a sleek hard-shell backpack off of her shoulders and removed a canvas satchel from the outer storage pocket.

In the first office she opened drawers and file cabinets stuffing every scrap of paper she could find in the satchel. It took her four full minutes to clear the office. She had just six more to set her explosives before the next radio contact would be missed. She closed the satchel and took off her back pack. She slug the bag over her neck and shoulder so that the strap lay diagonally across her chest and the weight of the satchel was against her back side.

The second office was empty and she did nothing but glance in it, making sure that her recon reports had been correct. Back pack in hand she went back down the stairs to the wall under the staircase and removed a black box the size and shape of a deck of cards. She attached it to the wall with adhesive and depressed the green button of the front. It beeped, flashed numbers across a tiny screen, beeped again and started counting down from 6:00.

"Six minutes and counting." She spoke into the com unit, but knew her molar mic still picked up and Alec knew what was happening.

Behind her she heard the steady work of the Mercs removing her property from the premises. She moved to the door in which Alec had entered and pulled two gold wires trough the entrance that were waiting just on the other side, and attached them to a second card deck box, waited for a beep from the first box, and depressed the button.

"Four minutes and counting"

She moved to the third wall opposite the stairs and placed a third card box on the wall with adhesive, waited for the second box to beep and depressed the button.

"Three minutes, fly the coup and meet at the barn."

She moved to the final door, the one being used by the Merc and the one in which she had entered. When the last Merc exited with the last of her cases, she attached a fourth box to a second set of wires. When the third box beeped, she depressed the final button and the tiny screen flashed 1:00

"One minute, the Eagle is flying."

She took off through the still open door, and ran full out to meet Alec at a designated spot one block away, where they could see the implosion, and not get injured by the debris.

She smiled at him as she ducked behind the short wall of bullet proof plastic they had set up before the hit began. Ginnie has spent three hours prior to entry rigging C4 around the building so that when the charges went off the building would fall a certain way. It had taken her five hours to plan the implosion. There was a building nearby that belong to her organization and she didn't want it damaged nor the fish market right next to Hillman's gun house.

She looked down at her watch, twenty seconds. She smiled up at Alec her breath still quick from her run. The com unit on her belt crackled.

"Fox one has raided the hen house and is headed back to the fox hole, free and clear."

Which meant they had all of her property and were clear of the detonation area, on their way to the domicile. She had a little geek there waiting to open and catalog the contents of the cases and re-distribute them. A good portion of them were going to the armoring of the Clan for the Raid, but the majority were going back out on the street.

She looked back down at her watch. !2...11...10... Her breath quickened, and she looked over at Alec a smile of triumph on her face.

Alec liked big explosions as much as the next person...but Ginnie was a true connoisseur. Watching her turn expectantly back to her watch, giddy smile fading, her tongue teased lightly across her fangs. As the count reached zero, she lit up...and Alec was a bit surprised. He had been expecting something huge and catastrophic - a fiery vengeful hand of God type explosion. There were a couple of pops. Looking up, the first explosion rocked the building...then there were a couple more pops, ah, that must be the c4. Then there was the vengeful hammer blow of an explosion that they'd set up the blast shield for. Good clean family fun. Ducking more completely under the shield as the debris began to rain around them Alec chuckled.

And to think we get to have this much fun while being in the right. Can't beat that, can you?

Quickly setting himself to dismantling the shield, he smiled as Ginnie hopped in the driver's seat. He'd been doing most of the driving recently - he'd savor this drive back to the Domicile, watching her negotiate the streets with that look of triumph on her face.

Tonight was a good night. Soon the raid would be under way and this whole Hillman business would be behind Tacharan for good.
