Drunk dialing (att: Shay!)

Panos pulled out his phone and began to mash buttons. Pulling the phone mere inches from his face he studied the screen drunkenly. His eyes squinted and he tried again to hit the button that would lead to his contacts menu.

Finally and very carefully (read: slowly) he found Shay's name in the lineup. He hit his talk button and then the realization hit him. It just might be too late for a phone call.

Well he would appologize for it later. He had wanted to appologize anyways and he could lump them together now!

He listen to the ring and swayed to the music of it. He looked a tad silly but he didnt seem to care.

"So...what do you think of my little hidey hole?"

"I am very impressed Shay!"
Mathias wrapped his arm around Shay. This was quite a piece of work. A lot of forethought had gone into this and Mathias was in awe of Shay's planning capabilities.

Seeing the minifridge reminded Mathias of another supply need.
"Would it be possible to rig this to store blood? And do you have a separate air supply?" "Oh!! and is it fully enclosed?"

Normally Mathias thought tactically, plotting escape routes, paths to attack and such - 1000 years as a warrior will do that to you. However the hideyhole was almost perfect for what it was,and Mathias' admiration for Shay grew. He knew she was smart and capable, but this level of organization he didn't expect from almost anyone.

She beamed when he responded in such a positive manner. But as he asked his questions, she had to agree she hadn't thought of everything.

"I was just thinking about the blood supply...though I don't know what storing it requires...or where to get it...or the shelf life. "

She would need him to fill her in with that information.

"And yes, there is a ventilation system separate from the rest of the house, and a generator for back up. The walls are insulated with a special sound proofing material and lead lined...there is also a hook up for a monitor, with video cameras in the hallway, and outside, but I haven't had time to set those up yet."

She turned and pulled the door closed, and pushed a button...a loud metallic noise was made.

"It is virtually impossible to get in now...not even knowing what book is the key, will help."

She pushed the button again, and the bolts were retracted, the door opened, and she walked back out. She continued to grin...having his approval on such a thing meant a great deal. Though she doubted the odds of her...them...ever having to use it, just having it was comforting.

"So...what do you say...think we could co-exist here?"

She'd wrapped her arms around his waist, and waited for his answer. Either way she would be happy...staying here would just make her that much MORE happier.

"And...now...about those eggs...I'm sure you must be a hundred times better at the cooking thing than I am...I'd love some."

And standing on tip toes, she kept her eyes on his as she brushed her lips lightly against his.

"It shouldn't be too difficult love. I know someone I can speak with."
He would talk to Carol once things settled down - if anyone would know it was her.

"So...what do you say...think we could co-exist here?"

"I think I could co-exist with you in a cave. However, this is much better than a cave so it will do nicely." He smiled at Shay, and returned her light kisses with equally soft ones. This was a new adventure and he looked forward to finding out what lay ahead.

With a happy roar,Mathias picked up Shay, holding her tight. "I LOVE YOU SHALIMAR O'MANNON!!" could most likely be heard several blocks away.

Carrying the still smiling Shay,Mathias headed into the kitchen and proceeded to make them both a wonderful breakfast.
