Spinning, twirling and not falling down ((Open))

"You get the easy part of dancing in this get up. Just center yourself on my skirts and don't step on my feet. I follow well, so dance how you want, I'll keep up."

She smiled brightly at Alec and settled her hands with his as the band struck up a lively foxtrot. She'd never foxtrotted in this type of clothing, but she figured she could handle it. Alec started them into the slow-quick-quick rhythm and Ginnie let herself flow with the music. It had been a very long time since she had been swung round the dance floor. She'd forgotten just how much fun it could be.

Nova chuckled and shrugged her shoulders.

“Alright, alright, I’ll take a chunk of the blame.”

Watching Dani head for a table, she hesitated. The ball was coming to a close...it was her last chance…

Hell.

Looking around at the remaining dancers, she considered for a moment, then caught sight of Amberelle and Jan alone at the table. She really should go say hi to the Anantya. Yep. No time for dancing. Shame, that.

“I’m a go see my brother for a sec. Nice meeting you all, catchya later.”

She made little clucking sounds in her head as she walked away.

Still blushing a bit over her near-defrocking, Aishe cast a glance at the dance floor. She felt a brief moment of envy for the couples enjoying their time out there, but there was no one here she'd have wanted to partner with even if she'd only been there for enjoyment.

Her brief interlude of hysterics had passed, leaving her wondering if it was just stress or something more. She shrugged it off however and, seeing everyone in their disaster-prone little group heading out their own ways, continued to follow Dani after a brief goodbye.

Pleased that his escape seemed to be imminent, Alec turned to Ginnie, blush resuming.

Well, you're welcome to eat mousse with me, but don't be terribly surprised if you end up wearing some. I'm really, really sorry about that. I certainly won't be upset if you opt out - in fact, I may worry for your sanity.

Really. Really sorry.

((OOC: Alec out - move rights to Ginnie if necessary!))
